Why should you pay for a professional assignment writer?

Why should you pay for a professional assignment writer?
Nowadays teachers assign complex academic tasks to students who already have to follow a strong working plan to end up the project successfully. Considering this situation, you have to be aware that there are professional writers who gain most information on a particular topic and include it efficiently in papers. It is not a secret that majority of local and international students prefer to get external assistance, to be able to release the tension. In fact, there are some very strong and valid reasons that convince students to buy a custom assignment, through an online website or platform. If you don’t understand why your class fellows paid for the assignment online, you would definitely like to know some of the strongest reasons that students have when they opt for this solution:
  • Don’t know why I find the topic boring

You want to work on your assignment, but the topic is extremely boring and you are feeling lazy because of it. Boredom is dragging you down even in other projects, which simply means a stroke of tension is soon reaching you.
  • I tried but can’t find enough sources

You are unable to connect yourself to the information sources, of course, lack of information will resist in developing a great assignment. Access to excellent information is compulsory or else you will be losing grip on your paper.
  • Writing makes me tired

Sometimes, writing ability is the only thing that stops you taking your assignment on your own. This happens when you don’t like writing much or when you don’t have good command over writing skills.
  • Stuck on multiple tasks

In fact, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to practice your skills, but you are too stuck in a number of tasks assigned by your teachers and you have to pass it to someone else. Of course, you can’t neglect this valid reason.
  • I took it so easy in the beginning

When you started, you though it is just a child play for you and you did not pay full attention, but now when you don’t have much time left, you see no other way than to buy assignment online.
(see also: Tips for writing college papers like a pro  or  How to improve Academic Performance)
There could be various other reasons to get yourself engaged with online writers and once you have a valid reason to buy an assignment from online professionals, you need to know what advantages can get from them. We would like to share some of the biggest benefits:
  • Quality material

If you choose a professional, you can be sure of one thing – you are going to get a quality material. You can ask about it further because this is one of the aspects that creates a line of difference between quality and cheap writers.
  • Expert’s advice

Another great advantage is that the experts are there to recommend you what to do. Before placing an order, you can discuss your real problem with them. Maybe you don’t have to buy and the expert’s opinion works perfectly for you.
  • Excellent writing

Of course, if there is something more than just the material and advice, that is an excellent writing service. If you don’t plan to write your assignment on your own, the best way to get it done is to hire Professional assignment writers.
  • Satisfaction from plagiarism

If you have never tried online assignment writing services, you would be surprised to know that the customers are tired of plagiarized content due to cheap service providers. When you get professional writers onboard, you are safe from plagiarized content. When you find assignment writers who work professionally, you have an edge over the others because professionalism guarantees privacy protection. Undoubtedly, online privacy concerns have become major issues these days and taking safely from them would be a wise decision. The biggest advantage of buying assignment online from professional writers is that everything is under complete privacy and confidence.

Training your working memory while learning

Training your working memory while learning
The working memory is the part of human brains which is used while you work, read, learn or take in information. It is the part that enables you to work with information over a short space of time, like the RAM memory in a computer. Children with ADHD have been shown to have impaired working memory indicating its necessity in concentration and attention span. So how can you train and utilise this part of your memory to make learning easier?

Child and adult learning

The working memory is highly utilised in children studying in the classroom. It is essential for retaining focus when learning basic arithmetic and reading. Children rely more heavily on the working memory than adults. Children with learning impairments such as dyslexia or ADHD have shown improved working memory capability when the approach to learning, as well as their environment, is adapted. The working memory matures to adult level and capacity at around the age of 14 or 15. As adults perhaps do not always continue to train the working memory throughout their lives, they may have trouble with focus and attention span. This is where learning strategies may help to retrain the working memory.

Meditation

The ability to focus is essential while studying a subject for long periods of time. This can be less than stimulating, but meditation can help learners sustain their attention when studying a difficult subject. Meditation has been shown to stimulate frontal regions of the brain connected to working memory, as well as intelligence, therefore can help you take in information and be able to recall the information more efficiently. Meditation induces feelings of calm, therefore, can help with stress if there is a lot of information for the working memory to process.
(see also: How to improve your memory)

Stimulate visual memory

Children have been shown to rely greatly on visual working memory but there is no reason that adults cannot train this aspect of their memories during learning. In fact, many adults respond more quickly to images than words. Attaching an image to a word or phrase is a working memory activity which will help you recall information faster while learning. Another popular working memory aid is to picture items to remember in rooms of a house. Students can remember related concepts or terminology by utilising working memory this way.

Dual coding

Remembering a term or piece of information two ways improves the likelihood of learners remembering that information. For example, hearing the information required combined with visualising or seeing images of the information enables students two different ways to recall the information. Research shows that students presented with a concept in two forms recalled the concept more efficiently than those who were only given the information in the form of a narration or description of the concept. Presenting the information in the form of an image combined with written words can also improve working memory when learning.

The n – back task

This test was devised in the ‘50s and is still commonly used today to determine working memory capacity and capabilities. The task involves the following: one is being shown a sequence of information such as letters or numbers. The learner must remember the position of a selected number, letter or item when it is repeated in the sequence. For example, a 2 – back test would require the learner to indicate when an item comes up again that came up two steps prior. The repetition of this task using longer sequences is a great way to train the working memory to study more complex information such as mathematical equations.

Chunking, stories and mnemonics

These strategies enable learners to recall large quantities of information by viewing it in a different way. For example, learners can remember a sequence of numbers by ‘chunking’ them into several smaller groups. Learners can also tell a short story incorporating the concept they have to remember with long-term memories. Many study groups and schools still make use of mnemonics as a learning aid. This involves the use of different, often simpler, words with the same first letter of the term that is to be learned. This is ideal for items to be learned in a series or sequence. Bear in mind that, while these tasks are able to train the working memory on certain pieces of information, it has been shown to be useful only when applied to similar concepts. So, where chunking may enable the working memory to retain certain types of material, you may have to apply another strategy to different aspects of a subject. Studying can require an intense amount of focus and training your brain’s working memory can make the task less daunting. You will be able to take in and recall more information over a short space of time which is great for those working to a tight learning schedule. Try out some of the above learning methods, aids and tasks and see your working memory improve over time.

Driving tricks new college commuters should know

You’ve been accepted to the college of your dreams and you’ve made the decision to commute rather than live on campus. This is becoming increasingly common for many new students, so they can save money on housing and food and still afford tuition. If this is the case for you, you’ll probably be commuting some way to campus, usually by car or public transport. While commuting is a frugal option, it does mean cutting into your personal free time. If you are driving yourself, this might be your first experience manoeuvring through morning and evening traffic. Be sure to mind these driving tricks and tips to make commuting as smooth as possible your first year.

Rush hours

Avoid rush hours at all costs. Even if it means getting to campus early and waiting around for a while, leave well before you need to in order to avoid needless traffic and potential car accidents. Make a friend on campus to get coffee with before class, or find a favourite quiet spot to unwind and study before classes in the morning. The last thing you want to do is talk to your insurance provider over the phone when you should be face-to-face with your statistics professor. If your afternoon class ends at 5pm, consider joining a club or extracurricular group to kill time and make friends simultaneously. Not only will it enrich your college experience, it’ll save you unnecessary stress on the road.

Alternate routes

Get familiar with back roads and alternate routes around campus. If you hear about a sudden accident on the radio, you’ll have more options to get to campus. Maybe there’s a popular event going on, like a basketball game, and the highways are jammed. Sporting event or not, you have an English lecture to get to. Knowing your way around will save you time and gas.

Reliable vehicle

Ensure whatever you’re driving is going to get you safely from point A to point B. Keeping up with maintenance is a must. If you’re driving a clunker, use some of the extra money you’re saving from room and board toward a car that you don’t have to worry about. Chances are the mileage will be better too.

Parking time

Build time to find good parking into your driving and commuting logistics. Learn the patterns of which lots fill up first. If your school charges to park, make a friend who lives off campus and park there. You can also take a shuttle or walk to class and save some cash. Ask some older students or faculty what they suggest since they’re probably old pros at parking and might have some good tips. Paying attention to driving tricks and tips can save you time, money, and unnecessary stress during your first year commuting to college. Make some great playlists, find shades that you love, and buckle up for a great year. Your college career awaits!

Gamification – The fun side of e-learning

Gamification – The fun side of e-learning Education as a model in which information is presented in a simple manner and the sole purpose of assessments is to strengthen retention, and not ensuring understanding, is losing momentum in the digital world we live in. E-learning has started taking over now, from schools to the corporate sectors. The focus now lies in teaching through electronic tools, thereby attracting the attention of students, keeping them interested in content and creating a more interactive teaching environment. E-learning has started taking over now, from schools to the corporate sectors. The focus now lies in teaching through electronic tools, thereby attracting the attention of students, keeping them interested in content and creating a more interactive teaching environment. One of the most effective methods for encouraging digital or online learning is the use of typical elements of a game – such as scoring or unlocking levels – to educate. This set of practices applied to the design and creation of the content of an e-learning platform is known as ‘gamification.’

So, does that mean that we can now learn from video games?

While the idea sounds tempting, video games aren’t usually involved. There is the mistaken idea that gamification is synonymous with JUST playing video games. Although it is true that it picks up some elements of their design, this strategy goes beyond that. In its true essence, this trend in e-learning can involve anything from a simple mobile application turned into a game to an online course where you unlock achievements as you go up. The main purpose is to tackle the boring and taxing elements of learning and applying ‘gamified’ solutions. For example, Duolingo makes use of them to teach languages. During the course, you can go up in level, and in doing so, the user acquires “lingots”, a kind of virtual currency that can be spent in a virtual store. These characteristics make it similar to that of a game, but they help to motivate people in their learning.

Keep better track of your learning progress with gamification

Like any game, an online teaching platform based on gamification must meet four points:
  • Goals
  • Rules
  • Free participation
  • Feedback
Coursera, the most famous online learning platform, has all of them. It measures progress on basis of task completion and assessments, establishes a course program based on videos and supplementary readings, encourages interaction through discussion forums and allows the student to lead their own learning pace. It also gives the student constant feedback about their performance. According to Jane McGonigal, video game designer, gamification promoter and author of the book ‘Reality if Broken’, collectively the human race spends more than 3 billion hours playing. In addition, an average person invests 13 hours a week in this recreational activity. How does this data help us? If people like these platforms so much and are so familiar with them, then it doesn’t hurt to take advantage of them. It is a fact that transmitting knowledge, both in schools and corporations, is not easy. Many times the contents become tedious and pretend to cover a lot of information in a short time. The result: students are not motivated enough to learn. The use of a “scammed” solution could, for example, encourage employees of a company to remain in constant training. In addition, we would be promoting the use of e-learning platforms.

Is it child’s play?

The main question many people ask about the elements of gamification is whether they can be used in any type of training or learning, that is, if it goes beyond its most obvious use: in children and young people. One of the most important uses of gamification is in the corporate sector. It can be applied in product or service training, social skills reinforcement programs or induction of welcoming of staff. In addition, an important question to consider is that the percentage of millennials that are added to the labour world is increasing. This generation, accustomed to technology, no longer learns in the same way as its predecessors. Training based on gamification will be a more attractive and immersive option for these new collaborators and will have a greater impact than if we delivered a manual with pure text.

Ending note

As the day goes by, more and more companies and institutions continue to invest in digital solutions for training and education. They have realized that these tools give them the opportunity to regain the attention and interest of their staff to learn. In the case of students, they will be more interested and motivated to finish the course. The key is to think about how academic or business content can be integrated into the design of gamified e-learning platforms. Gamification is the perfect combination of pedagogy, technology and fun. Considering this design alternative for educational platforms can be the key to the future of e-learning and other applications for productivity, in addition to generating a competitive advantage in the market.

How to get a degree without leaving home?

How to get a degree without leaving home?

Earning a degree is important for many people, especially in these times when we have an uncertain economy. It is estimated that college graduates earn about 84 percent more than those who only have a high school diploma. Now, you want to go to school, but you are stuck at home for a number of reasons. The following are a few ways you can accomplish your goals without leaving the comfort of your home.

DIY education

Some people live far away from towns or cities. People who live in these remote locations have to find ways to earn college credit without going out or by using the information they already learned on their own. Those who have been able to teach themselves some of the basics in mathematics, English, history and science might be able to use this knowledge to earn credit. What you want to do is find college-level examination programs that award college credits that are accepted at several colleges. This should help you earn your degree from home using the information you taught yourself. When granted, this only earns you credits, so you may still need to go and take a few classes to finish up your degree.

Via the web

The internet has opened up a number of doors for people who want to get an education. This makes filling out applications easier, but it can also help you find your passion and earn your degree online. Now, earning a degree from home is not the simplest task because you are at home. It is pretty easy to lounge around or skip study time because you are comfortable. Getting your degree is going to be hard, but you will be able to earn it if you stick to your schedule and work. You also have to make sure that your home is in order, meaning that everyone in your family needs to understand that you are attending school from home. You and your family will have to make a few sacrifices while you attend school, but it should be worth it in the end.

Local learning

One thing you should know about local colleges like Salt Lake City college and similar institutions is they understand that people lead different lifestyles. Some people have to fit in school between jobs while others just cannot leave their homes. In short, local colleges try to be as accommodating as they possibly can. You can take a few classes at the school, but some local colleges do offer the opportunity to take classes from the comfort of your home. Sure, you can try an online college, but opting for a nearby college that you can actually visit has its benefits.

Accelerated programs

The idea of going to college and getting a degree without leaving home is an issue that the kids which are homeschooled deal with all the time. Some go through all the hoops one has to go through to get into a traditional college after being homeschooled, but there are others who don’t. Some kids decide that they want to be educated at home, which is where accelerated educational programs come in. These programs are given to students who want to take college-level tests, usually at college campuses after learning the material on their own. The student can use a tutor or a self-employed professor to master subjects before taking a few tests to see if the student has learned the subject. This is a good way to earn your degree, too. Hopefully, these ideas can help you figure out what you want to do and how you want to go about getting your college degree without leaving home. If you have any suggestions, feel free to drop them in the comments below.

Why using Hadoop?

Why using Hadoop? Hadoop is a software framework that can process large amounts of data (or big data) by dividing it into smaller packets. These small data packets are subsequently processed in multiple computer clusters, and the programming languages used for the purpose are quite simple and based on Java. Hadoop is open-source and uses inexpensive servers, and hence is quite cost efficient. The Hadoop software library can detect the failures and can handle them and hence the framework is fault-resistant. The scalability of Hadoop administration derives from its feature of scaling up to thousands of machines from one single server. The Hadoop architecture is also entirely flexible as its individual components can be swapped and exchanged with the different kinds of software tools. The 2 major components of the Hadoop architecture include:

The distributed file system (does the job of storing data)

The distributed file system or the Hadoop Distributed Filesystem (HDFS) is the component that stores the data that has to be analysed.

The data processing framework

The Java application framework is used when you work on the data. It is also known by the name MapReduce. This component actually processes the data.

Modules of Hadoop

The Hadoop architecture has modules including:

YARN

The framework does the works towards cluster resource management and job scheduling.

Common

This module includes the basic Java utilities and modules. The Java files are essential to start the Hadoop framework for the processing of data and performing data analytics. It also includes the OS level abstraction files and the other file systems.

HDFS

As explained earlier this component and module stores the data and enhances the ease of accessing data.

MapReduce

This module and component enable the processing of data at various and multiple computer clusters. With the help of this module, large amounts of data can be processed in a small interval of time. The different Hadoop modules are based on the assumption that the various machines can suffer from the hardware failures and the analytics framework can be used to handle these problems automatically. HDFS and MapReduce are derived from GFS or Google File System and Google MapReduce.

Necessary skills for Hadoop certification

The Hadoop developers can be differentiated from the software developers in that they work on the big data. Hadoop professional needs to write the programs that match the system design. The professional should be aware of the programming and coding techniques. They should be able to design, create and architect, and also face the issues and problems when they arise. Some of the skills that are necessary towards working on Hadoop are:
  • Expertise in Hive and Pig Latin script
  • Knowledge in Oozie and other scheduling domains
  • Knowledge relating to Flume, Sqoop and other kinds of data loading tools
  • Well-versed with Hadoop and its components
  • Knowledge about JS, Java, OOAD and Node.js among other programming languages and tools
  • Problem identification and solving skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Knowledge ion HBase
  • Well versed with concurrency and multithreading concepts

Career opportunities after Hadoop Certification

Big Data created more than 1.9 million new jobs in U.S. alone in the year 2015. The opportunities are expected to increase at a rate of more than 15%. The countries of the European Union, India, China and other developed and developing countries also require the data professionals and Hadoop certification holders in huge numbers. Here are the job opportunities that are related to big data analytics and the Hadoop certification.
  • Chief data officer
  • Big data scientists
  • Big data analysis
  • Big data engineer
  • Big data researcher
Hadoop analyst and Hadoop developer are some jobs that require Hadoop certification course directly. The industries and business segments where Hadoop certification holders are required include retail, travel, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, life sciences, telecommunications, manufacturing, advertising government, natural resources, media and entertainment and other business segments. The Hadoop certification will easily fetch you a salary or approximately $80,000 or above. If you wish to leapfrog others and make your career more fruitful and stable, join the Hadoop certification course now. The online course can be studied at one’s own pace and is supported by case studies and assignments that help you gain the hands-down experience and expertise.

My week without the Internet

My week without the Internet
My week without the InternetOH! Seven days means 604,800 seconds, a long period. From studying to Seven days means 604,800 seconds, a long period. From studying to socializing, it is practically mind-boggling for students to unplug for long periods of time from the internet. It is difficult to concede that you are an individual from the “Facebook era”. An expression always jogged out by the media, it recommends that anybody less than 25 years old spends their days squatted over a portable PC, withdrawn with reality.
“The Internet is so big, so powerful, and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.” – Andrew Brown
The principal thing that struck me following a day of abstention was not so much what I lost, yet what I picked up. Time. So much time. Not taking my telephone into the room with me was giving me no less than two hours additional a day. I have assignments, tasks and my freelance work. How might I manage it without the internet for a week? I think this failure of technology will enhance my anxiety level and I feel myself in a depression state. Because my tasks, assignments and freelance work are pending. Once the connection resumes after a week; it is difficult for me to finish the pending work in a day it takes time.
Obviously, that is a misrepresentation. Yet, once you approach the web and web-based social networking, it ends up plainly hard to unplug. With 82% of new college and undergrads owning a cell phone in the UK, youngsters utilise the web for everything, from research to mingling. The internet is the essentials for students of any grade. Teachers send assignments and research work through the internet and ask students to submit it in soft copy. Sometimes deadlines of these assignments are unrealistic, like. Submit the assignment today by 12 a.m. If there is the failure of internet service, students may feel uneasy and discouraged.
Well, as an adventure I chose to go seven days without the web to perceive how I would adopt. Would my social life endure? How might I stay up with the latest with news and patterns? What’s more, did this mean I would need to locate my genuine mini-computer? I started to think about my week “unplugged” as a sort of withdraw. In a world immersed with pictures, we want to record our each activity; just as of late, I found myself Instagramming my bowl of morning porridge, a lunch in a deluxe and dinner with friends. I missed sharing all events that will happen in the week. I also missed my chit chat time with my friends, colleagues, relatives and family members.
Some beneficial outcomes… As the week advanced, I wound up sleeping obviously, better – basically in light of the fact that I was not lying in bed for a considerable length of time two-fold checking my news feed. Olivia Bright, an understudy at the University of Southampton, depicted her five days without the web amid her Gold Duke of Edinburgh campaign: “It was really invigorating, which was something I didn’t anticipate.”
In any case, she likewise says she “did not care for being unaware of what is going on”. In addition, keeping in mind that the week may have given me an escape from both hypothermia and Kim Kardashian taking twelve thousand selfies on vacation, it ended up being a time of deliberate social outcast. You have enough time for your family. You may take them out for a trip or some interesting place. Where yours’ family and you as well spend a quality time. You feel being fresh.
I generally check Facebook and Twitter reports while strolling back home from my parking garage or an adjacent grocery store. In the wake of turning off the web association, I found no motivation to keep my telephone on my hand. Alternatively, maybe, it remained in my pocket, and my eyes found the opportunity to see trees and people on foot around me. I heard the commotions around me all the more obvious and even delighted in winged creatures singing in the adjacent little woods. The melodious sound of the Cuckoo bird really swings the mood.
This is the best time executioner when you want to seek after consequence on something. Maybe YouTube could deal the best learning assets for guitar instructional exercise, cooking directions, and different teachers yet regardless you need to invest an extensive measure of energy doing genuine work to ace them. Presently is that time so do not squander it. “Did you get a ticket for that show in fresher’s week?” a companion writings me. “Thoroughly consider it’s sold.” I had not, obviously – it had been broadcast on a college Facebook page. Due to the unavailability of the internet, it happened.
I was not in contact with my friend through Skype who has been in India on vacations. While some may object that the web reduces genuine communication invalid and void, for students it is a help: family, companions from home and companions on crevice years or arrangements abroad are all only a single tick away Alex, an understudy at the University of Bath, depicts the web as “an essential piece of understudy research”.
“I know heaps of individuals who do not utilise the (genuine living) library,” he says. “I would even say the web is presently more essential for students, if not currently then it will be in a couple of years.” Yes! Another fact is that most of us are not willing to go to libraries for their research work or taking notes, they think to Google it, which is time saving and cheapest mode of searching for any information.
Alex is correct: exposition accommodation offices are winding up noticeably progressive electronic, and teachers and mentors now speak with us through e-mail as opposed to pieces of paper pushed in compartments. I engaged with some of my set occasion perusing without assets, for example, Spark Notes and JSTOR. Older relatives are continually disclosing to me how Dissertation Help fortunate our era is; while I cherish discovering a book ideal for an up and coming paper, the web enables us to gather hours of research in the library into minutes with only a couple Google seeks.
Did I achieve any finishes amid my week without the web? Yes – as a student, it is for all intents and purposes difficult to abandon the web for a noteworthy timeframe. Not exclusively do you pass up a major opportunity for a get-together, however, your work endures as well. Be that as it may, I would likewise suggest logging off incidentally; regardless of the possibility that only for a day or two. However, if we talk in an ideal world, there is no internet connection; assignments will be hard-copy, no smartphones, socialising websites etc. then it would be beneficial for students.
Well, I spent the whole week in different activities. Like, I buy some plants and plant in the garden and the whole day I spent there. I recycle all the old stuff into new and something creative. One day I went to meet my dearest friends and enjoying coffee and snacks. I also hang out with my family. A different experience worth trying!

5 Ways Internet of Things will change education

5 Ways Internet of Things will change educationThe Internet is now available to us in several more ways than just our computers on smartphones. Many of us already have smart TVs. In the near future, we can look forward to ordering what we need directly from our refrigerator, or let our cars drive us where we want to go. Obviously, this will change our lives in many ways. As with all technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) has a great impact on the education system within the modern world. Below are just a few ways in which this would happen:
  • Using devices for automated tasks

Today, the students are used to having their smartphones at all times. They like to use them more frequently in the classroom. This is because they have become used to tasks being easier with the Internet and smart devices. Many students already use their laptops for note-taking. Other tasks, such as schedule-making and research, are also set to become easier with the IoT. Hence, many schools have now switched to the ‘smart’ system of reusable technology. They provide the students with laptops and tablets. Even if a school is old, it can have tech installed through smart sensors and control panels. This would enable the administration to reuse the laptops and tablets left behind by old students. In the long run, this would greatly help in reducing the operating costs and the carbon footprint of the school.
  • Learning outside the classroom

In the olden days, students had to go to the library, borrow books, and copy out information for schoolwork. However, with smart technology, they can easily have an enhanced educational experience within their own home. This can supplement their classroom education and also make sure they get the updated information at all levels. An encyclopaedia printed in the 1980’s would not have enough or accurate information for a school project today. Now, students are able to look up and verify any information in a matter of seconds. This ensures that they would not fall behind the rest of the world or pick up a wrong ‘fact’.
  • Efficient teaching process

The connected technology surge means that teachers and professors would be able to grade much more quickly. Their checking/grading would also become easier, more efficient, and less biased. When educators have devices connected to the cloud just like their students’, they would be in better touch. Teachers could thus see which student needs more attention and concern.   Other processes that smart technology helps with are lesson plan-making, adjusting schedules, etc. With these tasks taken over by smart and connected devices, teachers could focus on their teaching and research more.
  • Special education

If anyone has even a slight interest in the education of special children, they would know the huge role of technology here. Autistic children respond very well to tablets, as well as those with other disorders. Those with dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning disabilities are greatly helped by any and all technology at their disposal. Along with this, smart schools would also have a system for educating people about such students. As a result, the general public would be more open and understanding of these special individuals.  It would become easier for special children to function well in a neutral environment, as well as on their own.
  • Safety

With campuses and the general student bodies becoming larger and larger each day, schedules are important. Parents now want to make sure their children aren’t in any place where they might come to harm. When bus schedules and timetables are regulated through smart technology, there is a more secure system. There would be less chance of a child being left behind due to lack of knowledge about a bus schedule. Additionally, parents could also track their children on their way to and from school, as well as on field trips.

Wrapping up…

The IoT will change our lives through intense connectivity. Some people may be wary of this progress, but there is no doubt it is useful. Education is necessary for everyone, and the IoT can make the experience much better. It is up to us and our children to make sure it is used to its full potential.

Powering the World: An inside look at energy production

Powering the World: An inside look at energy production

Powering the World: An inside look at energy production

Electricity is the cornerstone of modern life. It gives light to our homes, runs our technology and appliances and is even beginning to power our vehicles and transportation services. Most people take electricity for granted, at least until there is a blackout. Have you ever wondered just where your electricity is coming from or how it is generated? Here is an in-depth look at the energy that powers our world.
The deceptively simple generator Most forms of electricity are created using a generator. This includes power from basically all types of power plants with a few exceptions. A generator is actually a fairly simple device to understand, and you could probably even build your own generator as a school science or engineering project with a few basic materials. A generator is actually nothing more than a wire spinning within a magnetic field. The system can also be reversed, with the magnet spinning around the wires. This creates electrical voltage or current, which is fed into the electrical grid to produce AC power. All conventional power plants use the same kind of generator, the only difference between them is the source of power they use to get the wires in the generator to spin. Most of the time, the wires or magnets are attached to a shaft which is attached to a turbine. The turbine harvests energy from rising steam and spins around. In certain cases, the turbine is spun directly, like in a windmill or a hydroelectric dam. Companies like Engineering Inc, design and manufacture generators which supply power to much of the world we know. Various power plants burn some kind of fuel to generate heat, which generates steam for the turbine. Most of the power plants in the world work this way whether they burn coal, oil, natural gas or use geothermal heat or nuclear fuel.
Solar power and hydrogen The two current sources of electricity that don’t use turbines and steam with spinning wires and magnets are solar cells and hydrogen fuel cells. Solar cells produce electric current directly when they are exposed to sunlight. The amount of electric current is relatively small compared to a conventional generator, which is why many large panels are needed to produce significant amounts of electricity. The solar cells have the advantage of being easier to set up and maintain and produce no direct pollution. Fuel cells work on a different principle entirely. A fuel cell does not “burn” hydrogen gas. This is a common misconception. Rather, the fuel cell takes in hydrogen and strips it of electrons. These electrons provide the electricity to do work. The hydrogen is then combined with oxygen to create water and absorb electrons. This creates a continuous flow of electrons in and out of the cell to form a charged circuit.
On the Grid When energy is produced from any source, it must somehow get from the generating source to your home and into whatever device you need power. In most cases, this is the responsibility of the energy grid. The energy grid can be considered the extensive system of wires, cables, control boxes and transformers that direct the flow of energy from a generator to all the users. The grid is very important at all stages of power generation. A break or disruption in the grid will likely cause a wide scale problem. When a power line goes down, for example, a large area of homes or buildings might be affected. The size and complexity of the grid are also very important from a generator perspective. The generators on a grid must produce enough energy to keep the entire grid energised all the time. This means power companies must ensure they are always producing the maximum amount of power, even if it isn’t all being used, in order to make electricity reliable. In first world countries with well-developed and reliable grids, this is usually unnoticeable, but in less developed areas, grids are notoriously unreliable because power generation is uneven or inconsistent. People are plagued by constant power loss or short-term dips in power, often called brownouts. These problems can wreak havoc with electronics and sensitive equipment like computers, and they may be dangerous when vital systems like water pumps or heaters cannot be used for long periods. Modern electrical companies are often looking for ways to ease the strain on the power grid to reduce costs. They may regulate power usage or entice consumers to use power at certain times, such as at night, by offering cheaper rates. Taking advantage of this not only cuts bills but also helps ease the strain on the electric infrastructure. They may also make use of customers as producers by incentivizing the installation of solar power or other home generation systems that feed unused energy into the grid to help with supply. Next time you turn on a light, boot up your computer or throw lunch in the microwave, you can thank the complex technology and systems that make modern life possible. Energy production and cost is sure to be one the biggest concerns of modern society as our demand for electricity continues to grow at an ever-faster pace. Understanding how this technology works and taking advantage of whatever savings measures are offered may help maintain a safe and reliable energy infrastructure into the future.

Unraveling the 7 uses of 3D printing in education!

3D printing is a new form of education technology
Gone are the days when 3D printing was a thing of in sci-fi movies. Today, it is one of the most impactful realities of modern education. In fact, this new-fangled technological concept is also used in many industries to create prototypes during the project development process. 3D printing has a lot of features to offer to educators and students to streamline the learning process. The whole idea of learning with full-size objects makes it even interesting and engaging for the students to learn new concepts. On the other hand, the teachers consider it even convenient to interpret a theory or explain a phenomenon since they have life-size model of the subject. Without further ado, let’s find out the other uses that 3D printing has to offer to the field of education:

Architects can take help from 3D printing to augment their projects

With 3D printing, budding architects can try out their designs by loading them into a computer. The resulting three-dimensional design would show them whether or not their blueprints are doable. Considering that the construction industry has already started using the idea of 3D printing, there will be more organizations that will prefer architects who have the expertise in 3D printing tools.

It will make it easier for teachers and students to get in-depth information about history and archeology

3D printing is going to be the biggest game-changer for history students since they don’t have access to historical artifacts and objects. With 3D printing, they will be able to explore the different facets of a historical site using the life-size replica of the subject. Thus, 3D printing would come in handy for viewing artifacts which will benefit students of both the archaeology and history subjects. Not to mention, the teachers of these subjects would also be able to take advantage of this technology to demonstrate the intricate historical objects.

Graphic designers take out 3D prints of their work

3D printing allows the students of graphic design to showcase their work in creative ways. Using 3D printing, the digital artists can create 3D versions of their work which they can use them in their projects or even add in their work portfolio. By using 3D printing, graphic design students build a set of work that they can present to their future employers. For example, if they’ve created logos, they could demonstrate to the employers about the idea behind their creation.

Learn about geography

Within the subject of geography, we may feel limited to maps and globes. Not anymore, however, with the advent of 3D printing, geography students can learn from 3D versions of maps. They can thus easily view and show the demographic map or terrain of a certain area. Population and topography maps can also have 3D printouts. Thus, they could be extremely helpful in showing students exactly what a certain location is like.

Streamline the cooking and baking process

Many students opt for subjects like food, nutrition, and the culinary arts. If may seem surprising how 3D printing may help here but it is definitely possible. Students who are learning baking and cooking need tools, molds, and other equipment to shape the food. If they don’t have a certain mold or it is difficult to find in the market, 3D printing could come to their rescue. With the growing demand of artistic cakes and bakery products, there are is an increase in the production of molds in the market. With 3D printing, students give an artistic shape to their food.

Students can automate projects

Students of engineering can use 3D printing to create prototypes of their subject. Alternatively, they can create life-size models of any parts of their subject. This is particularly helpful for mechanical engineers who are assigned with projects every now and then. It’s not just the conventional parts. Engineering students can also design parts with certain modifications to enhance performance. They can then print out and test these parts with ease if they have access to 3D printing. This facility would reduce the costs of testing as well as the frustration.

Simplify mathematical concepts

Mathematics is a subject that applies on physics, mechanics, and engineering. Students who specialize in this area could greatly benefit from 3D printing by printing scale models, 3D graphs, and several designs. This sort of mathematical visualization can result in huge strides within the subjects. Thereby, it could lead to faster, quicker, and more efficient ways of improving our everyday lives. If nothing else, teachers can use 3D printers to print 3D illustrations of their lessons. This would particularly help younger students or those with learning deficiencies to make more sense of mathematical concepts.

Wrapping up…

3D printing is a new form of education technology that students can use to streamline the learning process. The benefits of 3D printing result in enhanced learning experience. This would result in better and brighter students, making for a more enlightened and progressive tomorrow.

5 ways socioeconomic status affect educational progress

5 ways socioeconomic status affect educational progress
5 ways socioeconomic status affect educational progress We live in a world that is full of frail interpretations of the different socio-economic classes. For this reason, we may define it as an individual or a family’s social standing based on their income, occupation, and education. From here on, we may clearly assume that a weak social standing does pose a threat to the survival of a student’s educational career. Societies can function well if these statuses are dealt with in a professional manner. Many problems that are related to education can be solved by providing more welfare and student relief for the low SES children. Higher paying jobs bring greater satisfaction and well-being to the individual families who spend on education and health of their children. Presently, we are highlighting the 5 ways SES (socio-economic status) that can affect a pupil’s educational progress:

What happens when the parents of a low SES are not educated and irresponsible?

Ironically, this is the case even in developed countries, and the children suffer due to a lack of responsibility shown by their parents. This is also a concern with minorities having a low paying job.

Social environment and the socio-economic status

Society plays a vital role is setting high standards for the children from low SES’s. Schools having a low SES (Socioeconomic status) also suffer from absenteeism and qualified teachers leaving their schools. Suggestions like; improving the overall resources and funding for the school can be beneficial to the overall educational system.

The high SES schools show convincing improvements in academic achievement

Children who have a lower SES tend to take more time learning basic language skills. As a consequence, they pick up tasks like addition and subtraction very late, making them weaker in studies and missing their exams.

The general and psychological health of high SES children is much better

Much behaviour related problems can be observed in children from Low SES, and when these children reach teenage and college, this situation becomes worse as they start thinking of dropping out before getting a degree.

Finally, the family resources play their part

The children learn from their home, even if one parent is educated and spends sufficient time grooming the child; this may result in a better grade at school. The low SES parents cannot create a literacy environment by providing their children with tutors, computers, and books. However, people of high SES pay more attention to education and land up with high paying- white collar jobs. These families pay more attention to their intellectual stimulation, growth, and development. They have a better chance to cope with stress because they can rely on their support system. Their life expectancy also shows improvement, because of easy access to decent medical care. The SES determines a lot of things that are correlated, especially when we talk about education and mental development. Measures need to be taken to fight the unevenness that can be seen in these three SES’s. The high, middle and low SES does pose a great threat to societies who want to flourish.

The benefits of blogging and its correlation to e-learning

The benefits of blogging and its correlation to e-learning

The benefits of blogging and its correlation to e-learningIt is well known that regular blogging encourages many students to write more and better. When a student’s writing is being seen and discussed by an audience of their peers, more thought and planning goes into the process.

Create a class blog

In the e-learning environment, blogging can be especially impactful as it will increase engagement of the students. Often it is challenging for instructors to facilitate a classroom setting while classes are being taught remotely. Having a class blog is one way to develop cohesiveness among the students. Points can be awarded to students for regularly contributing content to the blog and bonuses given for those who engage with other students posts by commenting and sharing.

Encourage individual blogs

There are many lessons a student can learn when they create their own blog posts. Not only will they be getting valuable feedback and interaction that will encourage them in their writing, but they will also gain real world experience in web design, composition, graphic art and design and they will produce better quality work since it is being published.

The power of experiential blogs

When students share their life experiences, they instantly feel more connected. Encourage students to write about the common aspects of their lives, things they find interesting, tidbits of trivia or knowledge they would like others to have. Watch as their writing comes alive with creativity and purpose. Remember that writing doesn’t have to be long, short-form content can be just as impactful, if well-written.

Start an Art blog

Incorporate media and art projects into the blog. In e-learning, these subjects can be boring and feel pointless to some students. Art, after all, is meant to be shared and enjoyed by others. By creating a blog where students can display and talk about their artistic passions. Their photography, drawings, digital creations, or paintings, the e-learning environment can feel more intimate and less isolate.

Top blogging platforms for e-learning

Your first step to incorporate blog creation in your e-learning plan is to choose a platform, such as a content management system where your students will build and publish their blogs. Fortunately, several secure and user-friendly sites are also free. Here are the three popular choices:

Edublog.com is a terrific site for e-Learning blogs. It allows you to create and publish teacher and student blogs. Customise designs, add photos, videos, and even feature podcasts.

Kidblog.com is designed with safety and privacy concerns in mind. This platform is designed for children in grades K-12. Some of the features include:

·         No disruptive ads

·         Privacy measures

·         Secure

·         No personal information from students

·         Easy to use interface.

WordPress.org is an excellent free blogging site and a good choice if you want your students to continue their blogs long after they leave your class.

Although there is a bit of a learning curve for using the platform, the site is well supported, with hundreds of videos and tutorials.

4 ways a teacher should keep an educational record of each student

4 ways a teacher should keep an educational record of each student
4 ways a teacher should keep an educational record of each student There are different laws that are active in various parts of the world to keep or destroy the student’s educational record. It helps and facilitates the transfer of students. Some students are not able to finish school. An accurate account of these records, transcripts and medical records help them transfer to other schools. The major decisions like the child’s future education are decided by analyzing these records. In some instances, the parents of the student who are under 18 years of age have the right to make changes to these records. Here are 4 ways why a teacher should keep an educational record of each student:

Maintaining portfolios:

It is simply an accumulation of the student’s work throughout his academic career in the school. This may include a grade wise distribution and is sent home at the end of the year. The portfolio can easily be explained to the parents, simply because it is a systematic view of the overall progress of a student during his total stay at the school. These portfolios are further divided into three parts:
  • Collection portfolio
  • Assessment portfolio
  • Student showcase portfolio

Rubrics:

They can be used to communicate expectations of the teachers about assignments, works in progress, and grading final projects. It also allows the teachers to Telemark the capabilities of the students, and to break the concepts and skills into smaller units for easy measurement, analysis, and grading. Rubrics can be used to evaluate a specific area or the overall performance of a student.

Progress reports, maintenance:

These reports are very important to maintain. They are an effective way to analyze a student’s performance. A weekly or biweekly progress report can keep the parents in the loop. Furthermore, they would not be surprised to see the actual report card itself. The teachers can select specific areas that need improvement and ask students to also point out areas that they would like to improve.

Maintaining a computer database of students:

Another way to maintain student records is to create a database that would enable the teachers to disseminate and share the information of students when required. It can also help the teachers and the school to maintain the database of all the students who have ever studied in the school. The grade patterns of students can identify the areas of improvement for the school and can act as an aid for the teachers and the management. The parents and guardians of these students have the right to access these records and they have to be maintained in some countries for at least 100 years. The data is stored in archives after a certain time period. Examination results are sometimes kept confidential as they are slightly more personal. The record keeping can help the teachers with their teaching; it can help them enhance the learning experience of the students. The students can be made more productive by working on their weaker areas. These records are very important and can help in genealogical and historical research. The school logs should not be destroyed and should remain with the school for 6 years.

What is your next step after accepting college admission?
What is your next step after accepting college admission? Congratulations! You’ve finally received those much-awaited acceptance letters from one or more of your dream institutes. Take a moment to celebrate, but if you had imagined that this was when you’d get to kick back and relax, then you have another think coming. In fact, some of the most crucial decisions affecting your future are going to be made at this stage and you wouldn’t want to regret not putting enough thought into them. Take a moment to celebrate, but if you had imagined that this was when you’d get to kick back and relax, then you have another think coming. In fact, some of the most crucial decisions affecting your future are going to be made at this stage and you wouldn’t want to regret not putting enough thought into them. The most important decision of all is -which university are you going to choose?   You may have already put one or two at the top of your list based on the research you did prior to applying. At this stage, throw all those assumptions out of the window and start with a clean slate. Carry out a more thorough evaluation and dig deeper to find out which university is going to be an ideal fit for you and your aspirations.

Here’s how to do just that:

Do they offer scholarships?

Are there private ones you could apply for? This guide will show you what to look for when it comes to scholarships. If all else fails, are you likely to find opportunities for part time jobs?

What is the campus like?

Perhaps you could plan a visit to the campus to see for yourself. Most universities organise an open day for different departments to facilitate this. On such occasions, talk to current students and even faculty. Otherwise, you could correspond with them online. For example, you could find out if the student body is diverse and ask how classes are conducted.

Do they offer support for your special needs, if any?

This is a crucial consideration. Perhaps you need language support or dyslexia support. Choose an institution that offers these. If not, you could opt for paid professional assistance with assignments. This option is a viable one for international students in particular who tend to struggle to express themselves in the university’s medium of instruction.

What is the quality of their intellectual output?

You’re interested in a specific department, so find out what kinds of work they’ve been publishing. Do they host seminars and conferences or participate in them? Do they have a student-run newspaper, blog, or a journal of their own?

How successful are their graduates at landing jobs?

Do they offer industry internships? This is essential to know because it has a bearing on your career post-university.

Research assistance

Some universities have a special department set up just to help international students. They recognise that while some of you might have a strong grasp on the subject, but writing impeccably structured essays might be your weakness, especially if you are an ESL student. So they have teaching assistants that help you put together your essay. Choosing a college that does not have this is not a deal breaker. We know it all seems quite daunting. But look at it this way. If you leave all of this decision-making for later, you will be in no position to make an informed choice. Additionally, getting the finer details sorted out before the actual start of the term will leave you relaxed and clear-headed, ready to take the plunge on the first day of college with enthusiasm and an open mind. You will be able to hit the ground running while retaining enough energy to socialise and unwind too. A good jumpstart is a great way to fully exploit the exciting opportunity you’ve worked so hard for.

5 Educational technology myths debunked!

5 Educational technology myths debunked!
5 Educational technology myths debunked! No one would have ever imagined in the past that technological advancements in education will bring such a major paradigm shift that we will transit from whiteboard to integrated classrooms, while textbooks will be replaced by the tablets.   The twenty-first-century is blessed with the best classroom technology. Schools are equipped with hi-tech interactive gadgets and devices to educate the future leaders.   We are somehow now convinced with the fact that new tech will likely transform the teaching and learning methodologies in the classrooms. The developed countries are progressing towards a more advanced form of education, while education technology is still an enigma for the third world countries as they are still striving to set their feet in the education sector.   This has led many people in the developing countries to form an opinion about education technology which is not true. We call them myths and some of them deserve to be mentioned here:

1. Technology fixes all the students and teachers’ problems

Hi-tech gadgets or devices are just tools. You can repair what is broken, but you cannot make it look new. Classroom technology is not appropriate for every educational task at all. You need to keep it low at times and go back to basics to teach. If we talk about students first, the smarter ones will make the most of the technology and the dull ones will have a hard time grasping the knowledge. This is a simple phenomenon-the smarter ones are using their brains the same way they would use in traditional learning. Whereas, the dull students would not care whether it is a blackboard or an interactive board but, it might create a positive interest in them. Now regarding the teachers, it doesn’t matter how good the gadgets are, if you are good teacher your effective teaching methods will give out best results when integrated with technology, otherwise, if you are a bad one, there is no guarantee that you will get better at it.

2. Technology is dangerous, keep it limited

If we walk on the path that everything is dangerous, we will never succeed. It is a fact that technology is indeed dangerous, but danger only comes from misuse and poor choices – these things can always be kept monitored. Limiting access to the educational tools is not the solution but giving the proper knowledge about the systems would help students and teachers simultaneously. Keeping everything in check will help to create a meaningful educational experience.

3. Technology leads to student success

Well, says who? I mean, all those people who invented things for us didn’t have hi-tech gadgets, but books, knowledge, and brains. The recent concept is that the use of technology leads to the collection of a lot of data, hence, this leads to believe that students are getting better at it. With the hi-tech teaching and learning method, you are educating the students but you need to involve the creative learning as well.

4. Educational gaming improves student achievement

Still, the crosswords section in the newspaper is more meaningful than educational game apps. Guess-the-answer or point-and-click kind of games do not engage students in creative learning. We all love playing such games, but most of the time we are simply guessing things and not learning anything out of it. These games are just easy to implement and do not require much professional development.

5. Technology is less meaningful than traditional learning

No, no, no! This is not how it is if you make an environment in a classroom by demonstrating best practices of the technology, students would like to collaborate and share rather than drooling and staring like zombies. Traditional learning does not give much space to explore, but through technology, you can step out of the classroom and do many great things. Apart from these myths, it is said that it more students can be educated through online teaching than the traditional face-to-face learning techniques. Teaching online would cost less than regular classroom teaching, so there would be fewer courses and fewer buildings. There are chances that all the teachers and faculties will abandon the traditional face-to-face teaching methodology for the sake of online teaching. This is why Google Certified Teachers and Educators are now getting more popular than regular teachers. But, nothing to be worried because traditional things have their own charm and such things are there to stay. It is also said that purchasing networks and computers is the most expensive part when providing technology for the teaching and learning process. I think we all agree with the fact that everything has its merits and demerits and it depends on the user that how they would like to use it. Educational technology is an indeed a game-changing shift from the traditional education system. This is giving out the best learning experiences for students at all levels which involve students in creating, exploring and share their knowledge and abilities. New apps and devices in the market are being made just to reward the students with better learning. Myths can be interpreted in several ways, some are in favor of the hi-tech advancement in the educational system and some are not. We have to somewhat agree with the fact that students on the higher-level feel more comfortable with the technology rather than traditional learning. The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) has become a trend and everyone prefers to get educated in their own comfort zone. But, before getting into anything you need to assess things yourself, work upon the underlying costs, how would you and your children feel regarding the shift from traditional to educational technology. We hope that the new-age children bring out the positive out of the advanced technologies and make the most of it by learning today and implementing tomorrow.

They can learn whatever they want!

The best part about online education is that you can choose to learn any course you want. You do not have to crave for a course, unlike in traditional education. You do not have to travel away from your home in an entirely different city facing the struggles of this highly competitive society. You can just get enrolled in any course and take it as per your convenience. None will force you to continue studying whether you like a particular course or not.

Why should you choose digital marketing as a career?

Why should you choose digital marketing as a career?Ten years ago, digital marketing as a career didn’t even exist. Nowadays, it is one of the most popular career options amongst not just millennials, but also experienced professionals from the traditional marketing field. The world is going digital and almost every business, whether big or small, is using the Internet to its advantage. Rather, we can say that the Internet has given even small businesses a platform to compete against their big rivals, fearlessly. Digital marketing has made it possible for small businesses to reach out to their audiences with a greater impact at minimal cost resulting in increased profits. With initiatives likes Internet.org aiming to increase the internet penetration in the rural areas of the world, the trend is only going to get more popular. We can say that the Internet has given even small businesses a platform to compete against their big rivals, fearlessly. Digital marketing has made it possible for small businesses to reach out to their audiences with a greater impact at minimal cost resulting in increased profits. With initiatives likes Internet.org aiming to increase the internet penetration in the rural areas of the world, the trend is only going to get more popular. Everybody wants to be a part of a growing industry that gives ample opportunities to advance one’s career. If you too are mesmerised by the awesome prospects being offered by digital marketing and consider choosing it as a career option, here are a few good reasons to help you make the decision.

Everybody is using it:

Marketing is one of the most crucial functions of every business. Of course, the product is important. However, for the product to sell, it is important that the end customers are informed about its qualities and USPs. Like we said earlier also, digital marketing is the modern-day tool being used by almost every business regardless of their size and industry. Why? It is a pocket-friendly and effective way of reaching out to a large number of audiences. Not just businesses, even political leaders are using digital marketing to drive their political campaigns. Therefore, the scope is vast.

Employment prospects are tremendous:

The field is still very new. With more and more businesses adopting this new-age marketing tool, there is a rise in the talent gap. This means the employment opportunities available are more as compared to the number of people required to fill the position, making it easy for digital marketing professionals to find jobs easily. Also, when the supply is less and the demand is more, the pay for the digital marketers is more likely to be good.

Specific education isn’t required:

The best thing about digital marketing is that if one wishes to make a career in the field, one doesn’t need any formal education or start of a career from scratch. Your qualification doesn’t matter. All you need is passion and time to invest in learning about the digital marketing field. You can either take help from free e-books or enrol yourself for paid online digital marketing certificate course and start learning at your convenience from the comfort of your home.

Your options increase:

Digital Marketing is a huge industry meaning there are various diverse options one can choose to specialise in. Some of the areas digital marketers can specialise in are listed below:
  • Search Engine Marketing
  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • Content Marketing
  • Mobile Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Web Analytics / Marketing Automation
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Integrated Marketing
In addition to this, the skills you learn are transferable and apply to any industry. This means that even if the product changes, the skills and technology will remain the same.

There’s flexibility:

A career in digital marketing can offer you great flexibility in terms of work environment. More than the place from where you work, what’s important is how quickly you respond to the customers. You can choose to work from anywhere provided you have a strong Internet connection. Hence, more and more people who do not want to relocate are now opting to work remotely. If you wish to be a part of a young and dynamic industry that pays well, offers flexibility and scope for career advancement, digital marketing is where you should be. Read this Guide before Writing your Scholarship Essay

Read this Guide before Writing your Scholarship Essay
Read this Guide before Writing your Scholarship Essay James Russell Lowell said well: “The true scholarship consists in knowing not what things exist, but what they mean, it is not memory but judgment” That’s what this post aims to talk about. Since the lion’s share of students is aiming to study abroad not only to get a high education but also to heighten their vision and perception – so we think why not to guide them about the significant criteria of applying for scholarships in an international academic institution. When a student applies for a scholarship in any college, then it becomes a difficult task for a committee to select candidates, as a lot of students apply for this opportunity from different corners of the world. Before proceeding further to explain the rest of scholarship procedure, it is important to understand what scholarship basically is.

What is Scholarship?

The scholarship is a grant awarded to students on the basis of their academic or other achievements to help them support their education. To put in simpler words, a scholarship is a financial assistance provided by their intended college, school, or universities. Besides this, there is also an important way of signifying that achievements were star lion’s enough to merit this recognition. Even later, when applying to jobs, listing scholarships on a resume says a lot to potential employers.

Scholarship Benchmark

Hardly few scholarship programs are based merely on an application form or transcript. Now candidates are usually expected to hand in a customised essay with particular requirements along with scholarship applications. The essay is the most important part of your application, as it gives the scholarship committee a sense of who you are and your dedication to your goals. Hence, it is important to take the time to craft a thoughtful, well-written essay.

What does a committee look for in a Good Essay?

The committee usually looks for an essay that demonstrates effort, an essay that exhibits excellent writing ability and an applicant’s outstanding achievements accompanied with their personal qualities in such a way that makes it stand out among other essays. For example:
  1. Make it memorable – Write something that stupefies the readers and takes you in a positive light, it will make them remember your work. Get innovative ideas and pen them down to introduce yourself.
  2. Language & tone – Recognise how your language and tone change depending on whom you are speaking to, and adapt it accordingly in your essay.
  3. Toot your own horn– The scholarship essay is like an autobiographical work where the writer tells the story of his life that can inspire the reader provided that it contains something fascinating, humorous, and influencing. A scholarship application is an instance where you do need to talk about yourself and your achievements quite frankly.
This should include sports, clubs, work knowledge, leadership positions, volunteer or community work, and so on. Make sure that the whole thing you include is factual.
  1. Explain what makes you stand out – If you want to get selected in the scholarship programme, then your power of words and story should do your work. Your essay should tell the reader what makes you different or special compared to others. Nevertheless, each of us is unique in some way.
  2. Bragging rights – Make sure that the information you include is actually relevant to the theme and the program that you are applying to.
  3. It should reflect your brainstorming –Before start writing your essay, take few minutes for brainstorming and think of something out of the box to tell about your achievements and accomplishments.

Quick Guide to writing effective & fascinating essay

  • Follow exactly the instructions. You may compose an incredible paper however it might get your application rejected in the event that you don’t take after the word number rules or other organising prerequisites.
  • Never open your essay with a quote. This is a well-worn procedure that is, for the most part, utilised inadequately. Why not expressing your own thoughts in form of quote rather sharing other’s thought?
  • Avoid using casual sentences such as, “In this blog, I will…”
  • Be specific, and make sure each paragraph discusses only one central thought or argument.
  • Avoid using words from a thesaurus that are new to you. You may end up using the word incorrectly and that will make your writing awkward. Keep it basic and direct. The purpose of the paper is to recount your story, not to exhibit what number of words you know.

Handwriting vs. typing : Why the pen is mightier than the keyboard?

In colleges the world over, we are seeing more laptops being used in class to take notes.
Fewer students are taking notes by hand as doing it on a laptop is often seen as a more convenient option. In theory, it seems like a good idea. Students can type on average 40 words per minute while they can only write 22 words per minute. However, research has shown that it is the students who take notes by hand who remember more. It turns out that your brain is more active when writing by hand, and even though you write less, more thought generally goes into what you do write.
However, research has shown that it is the students who take notes by hand who remember more. It turns out that your brain is more active when writing by hand, and even though you write less, more thought generally goes into what you do write.
Another issue with laptops is that students generally only spend 60% of the time actually taking notes and the other 40% are wasted on the internet and other unrelated programs. Of course, in everyday life, people are also using a pen and paper much less. For example, 1 in 3 people has not put pen to paper in 41 days in the United Kingdom. Do We Need Virtual Reality In Education?

Do we need virtual reality in education? The future of human beings interaction is changing with the development of the technology and the evolution of the information technology innovations.   It goes without saying that we do not communicate in the same manner as we did 10 years ago, not to mention that the rapid growth in this sphere is hard to tackle if we go in the past decade of the last century when the mobile phones were hardly used.   The benefits of our age bring the virtual reality and the gadgets that we can use to have an insight into the possibilities the computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment can bring us.   Since we can interact in a seemingly real or physical way using special electronic equipment, helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors, we can say that we have made a step towards the illusionary world in three dimensions.   The Google Trends statistic show interesting growth when looking for the term “virtual reality”. Namely, the growth from 2012 to 2016 is 96% higher and it promises a tendency of climbing. Below is the graph showing these data:   (Source:Google trends) In respect to an interest in regions, we see that the more developed the countries, the higher the interest of using the virtual reality. The top ranking countries are The Netherlands, United States, Philippines, Australia, United Kingdom, to followed by New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Denmark and Ireland.   Tools for using virtual reality interfaces are shown in the overview here: The concept of the implementation of the virtual reality may first come to the games playing, but believe me, this is not the only spot where we can see development and revolution in its utilisation. Virtual reality can be used in education if adjusted to its needs.   This can make the learning process even more interactive and interesting than we have in the flipped classroom. The teacher-student engagement will be on a different level if some of the curricula can be seen through the virtual reality tools. Learning will be more interesting a better anticipated by the learners, of all age. An army of developers will have to work on the VR curriculum, but it will be well worth it. It will bring new quality to educational and learning communities, making the gaining of new knowledge even more attractive and interesting. The business in this industry will also benefit, as new working places will be opened, with the need of accommodating the learning circles.   Having said this, maybe a couple of words about the top tools we use today, to benefit the virtual reality interfaces so that we see how they can make education more accessible to wider students.   Oculus It is the new immersive medium, which creates the sensation of being entirely transported into a virtual (or real, but digitally reproduced) three-dimensional world. It can provide more visceral experience than screen-based media. Being nicely designed, it offers a seamless experience.   At this moment it is expensive to consider it to use it at educational institutions, as the price ranges from 789 USD without a PC, up to 15,000 USD with it. So, currently, it is good for home playing games, but still not too affordable for educational purposes.   Video Daydream is more affordable and it uses a smartphone for the virtual reality interface entrance. You can get it from 49.99 USD up to 79.00 USD.   Google Cardboard brings immersive experiences to everyone in even a simple and affordable way. You can fold your own or buy a cardboard, and use it with a smartphone.   From the above said, it is apparent that educational development curriculum can have a better future in the Google Cardboard option, due to the simplicity of its using, as we know that children have smartphones, as early as beginning going to school. The experience is almost the same as using the Daydream, which has a band around the head.   What does the future hold for learning communities?   It will definitely be versatile, more interactive and better visualised. I hope that the robustness of the cardboard will be overcome with the next developments, and we will have proper glasses and maybe even lenses that we can use for the same purpose as the VR tools we have today. This will make the overall interface interaction more user-friendly and less robust, as we will not have to hold it in our hands or have immense “swimming mask” when not in the water.   The possibilities will grow as the technology develops and we can perfectly blend into the environments that we want to explore and learn about. Moderation is the right measure to use the virtual reality since too much or everything we use from modern technologies can harm our health. With all these facts into consideration, it can be said that virtual reality will fit comfortably in the next generation of learners, bringing the new innovative method of gaining knowledge.   Author: Aleksandra Arsik

The difference between electrical and electronic equipment

electronic equpment
electronic equpment Electrical and electronic equipment may sound similar, but they’re very different. Their main difference lies in the way they manipulate electricity to perform their work. Electrical equipment takes the energy produced by an electrical current and then transforms it into other simple forms of energy like heat, light or motion. For instance, a toaster contains heating elements that transform electrical energy into heat that burns your toast. Electronic devices are much more complex than that. Apart from converting electrical energy into heat, motion or light, they can manipulate or control electrical current so that devices can do more useful or interesting things. For instance, an audio device like a radio that adds sound to electric currents, enabling you to listen to music. Examples of electrical equipment: -Light bulbs -Vacuums -Toasters -Electric ovens -Refrigerators and Freezers -Washing machines -Motors -Transformers and Generators -Resistors and Capacitors -Older technologies like the electric telegraph and batteries Examples of electronics equipment: -PCs/Laptops -Mobile phones -Cameras -Printers -Modems -Radios -Game consoles -MP3 players -TVs -Microwave ovens

How do they work?

Electrical and electronic device circuits work in an entirely different way. Electronic equipment circuits don’t have any processing capability, while electronic equipment circuits do. Circuits in electrical devices simply power equipment with electricity. However, electronic circuits can easily interpret an instruction or signal and perform various tasks to suit the circumstance. For example, when a microwave finishes cooking, it often beeps to alert the user. Most modern appliances today use both electrical and electronic circuits. For example, a washing machine, which is an electrical equipment comprises of a plug socket, an on/off switch, a fuse, a heater and motor and control panel. An electronic circuit interprets the instructions that a user inputs in the control panel to define the desired temperature and wash circle.

Difference of scale

Another significant difference between electrical and electronic devices is in scale. The majority of electronic components are small and only require small direct current (DC) voltages. Electrical appliances, on the other hand, are mostly larger and use alternating current (AC) voltage. While most electrical appliances require 230 volts AC to operate, most electronic components can work using 3-12 volts DC. When you look at factories, industries or power stations, you will realise that they have far more electrical components. Products that we use every day in our homes and offices like laptops, desktop computers and mobile phones have many small electronic components than electrical components. In short, electrical devices use much higher voltage to generate their work as compared to electronics equipment.

Energy efficiency

Large electrical equipment and appliances like refrigerators and washing machines provide information to consumers about their electrical efficiency in their product details. In the USA, most electrical equipment is categorised by electrical efficiency, in the form of energy star ratings at any point of sale to ensure consumers get the most energy efficient solutions to help them reduce energy consumption. Most electronic devices provide little or no information on their electrical efficiency. To get details on energy efficiency, consumers either have to visit the manufacturer’s website or get details on websites that offer information on green consumer products. However, power consumption is specified in most electronic devices.

The distinction between the two is changing

Whether you’re an electrical expert buying used testing equipment or a consumer buying home appliances, the difference between electrical and electronic equipment has become less clear than it used to be. That’s because unlike years back when electrical devices were those that used electrical power but didn’t include electronic components like transistors and integrated circuits, today many of these devices come with electronic control components. Most modern electrical equipment like refrigerators and vacuum cleaners often have electronic components in them such as power regulators and temperature control components. While it’s important to know the difference between electrical and electronic equipment, technological advancements are making it harder to classify a single device or appliance as either electrical or electronic.

Medical education enrollment basic facts

Medical education enrollment basic facts

Medical education enrollment basic factsA medical education is time-consuming, expensive, and highly competitive. It’s also fascinating and can open the door to a wide variety of medical careers. Anyone looking to study medicine and health should know the best ways to get started in their education. Here are a few things you should know before getting a medical education.

The Basics

All doctors must have a bachelor’s degree to get into medical school. Although many choose a science degree, it is not required for all career types. Medical school lasts four years and is always followed by a residency, which usually lasts four years as well. Surgical residencies, however, can last as long as seven years. After completing a residency, many doctors begin to practice. Specialists typically go on for an extended period of training called a fellowship. While it is not required to practice, many doctors choose to become board-certified in their speciality.

The Cost

Medical school has the highest cost of almost any occupation. It will be more expensive if you choose a private school. Most students finance the education with loans that are deferred until after graduation. The average medical student in the US graduates with $180,000 in debt and some have debt at or above $250,000. You may be able to get a deferment of your loan repayment if you commit to working in a medically underserved area for two years after graduation.

Income

Your income will be dependent on your speciality and whether you practice full time. It may also be influenced by whether you join a group practice or work for an organisation such as a hospital or managed care organisation. For example, Becker’s Hospital Review reports general orthopaedic surgeons had an average annual salary of $542,362 in 2015. Family practice doctors earned $225,546. however, family practice doctors can generally expect more of an increase in salary percentage-wise because there is high demand for this speciality.

Demand

Like any profession, certain kinds of medical specialities are in higher demand than others. Psychiatrists and primary care physicians top the list in this respect today. Primary care physicians include family practice doctors, internists, and paediatricians. Hospitalists, who manage patients in the hospital but generally don’t have a private practice outside the hospital, are also in demand. If you choose a high-demand medical speciality, you may have more options and may be eligible for sign-on bonuses and other benefits. It might also be worth your time to be versed and educated in new hospital technologies. A student who already knows how to navigate healthcare data storage will be more of an asset right away. No profession is perfect. Being a doctor, however, is a respected and honourable profession with a great opportunity to make a good living and be of service. Before starting in your education, make sure you are ready to face the basics.

The benefits of scholarships

The benefits of scholarships
The benefits of scholarships The scholarship is a primarily financed help which might be offered by an establishment or any organisation either governmental or non-public. The aim of a scholarship is to assist those students who are deprived of financial resources to accumulate higher studies. There are different criteria of awarding scholarships including merit basis, want basis and employment skills basis. Scholarships are more of prestige for candidates to become productive beings of their society and return the favour in far better ways. A unique feature of a scholarship is that it isn’t a loan and therefore not meant to be repaid. Scholarships are considered to be rewards for deserving candidates who can bring positivity and productivity into the society. Scholarships don’t solely facilitate a candidate financially, in fact, there are several advantages come with this significant reward.

Scholarship as a monetary aid in achieving higher education

There are numerous students who desire to proceed with higher education including post-graduation and doctorate degree. The one greatest issue they face is unreasonably expensive funds which can’t be paid through their low wages. Because of that, some of them drop the idea of studying further and figure out how to acclimate to their salary with a consistent college degree and some make reserve funds for quite a long time to finance their studies and proceed with their dream of higher education. This issue has been solved with boundless scholarships which are being offered by instructive foundations, Governments, and numerous private corporate establishments. The educational expenses of post-graduate and Doctorate level are much higher than undergrad level studies and accordingly these scholarships are for the most part offered at post-graduate level to back the entire scholarly education.

Scholarship as means of opportunity to study in worthy institutions

Other than monetary help, scholarships have supported the students in procuring better and advanced education from widely acclaimed foundations. It is one thing to go for advanced education and secure a degree of post-graduate level or doctorate level, but, the huge accomplishment is to achieve that higher level degree from the world’s one of the best universities. The competition is extreme these days, thus, college sand enthusiastic researchers crave to complete higher education from world’s best colleges/ universities to secure the best place in the society. These institutions charge with greater annual dues which are not easy for every deserving candidate to pay. This is where the aid of scholarships began and helps the candidates to achieve their dreams. Through these scholarships, on the premise of scholarly knowledge, scholars get affirmation in the colleges and began their journey to develop intellectually. Scholarships help the researchers to procure more authentic information and furthermore funds the researchers to conduct studies which later appear as prominent disclosures and developments. It will be justified to conclude that scholarships have helped the scholars to develop intellectually and turned them into a valuable individual.

Students’ aid through monthly instalment, as part of scholarship

Students, who are passionate to acquire more knowledge and discover the depths of their fields, are much indulged in their studies, as a result of which, part-time jobs become difficult for them. Especially, the scholars who are enrolled in post-graduate and doctorate courses, are much consumed by assignments, presentations, and dissertations. It’s difficult for them to earn and fulfil their basic needs. To solve this issue of students, scholarships began to offer monthly instalments, through which candidates can pay all basic expenses. These can be used to pay the expenses including:
  • Necessary clothing expenses
  • Educational stationary expenses
  • Meal expenses
  • Traveling expenses
  • Accommodation expenses

Scholarships bring prestige and motivation for scholars

Scholarships are not only financial funds but also considered to be prestigious rewards for scholars and increase their motivations. The individuals who secure a scholarship and start their trip of higher education from great institutions are significantly encouraged to keep their honour and exhibit higher performance in studies to demonstrate their capabilities. This motivation which comes through scholarships is extremely beneficial for students regarding their education. They buckle down day and night to make the best utilisation of their reward and without squandering their time they finish their degrees in the shorter duration. Scholarship holders are constantly quicker to grow intellectually than the self-financed scholars and end up being prolific creatures of society. Author: Mike Jason, is an Education consultant. Online degrees or traditional education? Which degree lands you with a better job offer?

online-learning
online-learning   Online learning has become a popular choice for students. More people are “going to class” online, and the trend is growing. In fact, more schools are giving their students the opportunity to learn remotely from home. But, what has brought on that change? As you will see, students are using the online option for a variety of reasons and becoming just as suitable to be hired, as traditional learners.

Interacting in online classes

While you may think that interaction in an online classroom does not exist, that is not true. Students interact in many ways. Although some online classes use webcams to hold conversations, many professors choose writing. The professor and students are able to view everything everyone says in chat rooms, and they reply by typing their message. But, there are other forms of written communication. E-mails, class notes and PDF files are all used to create the same learning experience as the traditional classroom setting. The main difference is the message’s medium. Online students also benefit from less-structured class times. You can make your own schedule as long as you meet deadlines.

Transforming the classroom

Because professors and students don’t meet in a structured setting for online classes, everyone has the freedom to be more independent in a transformed setting. As a result, learning is more personalised. Professors can tweak a lesson to fit how the student understands it. As such, professors will be able to figure out how each student learns, and change their process to fit a student’s needs. This can also eliminate problems that might have otherwise occurred based on the traditional setting. Another benefit of the less-structured model is that a student doesn’t have to go from one part of the lesson to the next, and so on, in order. They can go back-and-forth as needed. They can also go at their own pace. The ability to do so allows the student to control what they learn, how they learn a lesson and the pace at which they learn it.

Online learning consortium

But, the process of online learning is not as new as one would think. In fact, educators have been teaching online since 1992. The tools, resources, and guidance they have received have taught educators how to teach online effectively. As a result, they have helped students learn better by going at a student’s pace rather than the traditionally structured route.

Online bachelor’s degree programs

Many schools across the country are also using these tools on a regular basis. In fact, some schools have developed fully-online bachelor’s degree programs. As a result, students rarely need to even come to class at all. This less-structured setting is perfect for students who have a job or family that they need to focus on just as much.

Online degrees and the workplace

You may think that getting an online degree may hurt you when trying to find a job. However, that is no longer the case. In fact, many employers consider online degrees to be beneficial. Because students did not have the structure of a traditional classroom, they were able to make time for other necessities. As a result, they were able to multitask better than if they had been in a traditional setting. Therefore, online learning may give you an advantage.

Blackboard

One of the most common online learning tools is Blackboard. It provides a way for educators, and learners, to come together in a virtual setting to teach, and learn, just about any lesson that one needs to understand. However, schools are no longer the only institutions using it. Government leaders and businesses are also using the tool. Now that everyone is on-the-go in many ways, teaching and learning remotely have become a popular choice for many regardless of the field they are in. It allows them to learn at their own pace while being able to schedule every other task that they need to focus on. This ability also allows people to learn more beneficial skills for their job.

Conclusion

Online classes have become commonplace because of the less-structured setting. People are able to set their own schedules and learn the necessary lessons at their own pace. As such, they get the education they need to become just suitable to be hired, where employers are taking notice.

5 Most transformative teaching tools of today

5 most transformative teaching tools of today
5 most transformative teaching tools of today The world is constantly changing and education reflect many of our changing beliefs and world views. Schools today are constantly updating curriculums to meet the demands of a changing world and developing countries are working hard to address education inequalities. Countries around the world are building more schools, and children are learning in more creative settings. Some schools only have basic amenities, but teachers want to give their students a world-class education. Technology can help teachers close the socioeconomic gap in education and technical hardware and software can help students attain a quality education. Here are some ways education and technology in classrooms are continuing to change.

Technology in classrooms

In the last decade, several changes occurred in public classrooms and most of the changes happened in first world countries. Recently, classrooms in the developing world have undergone several changes. Technology is becoming increasingly common on every continent. A large percentage of children born in the 21st century are digital natives and technology in the classroom allows students to interact with peers on the other side of the globe and get knowledge from a vast array of sources. Teachers will continue to promote online education since so much can be gained by students this way.

Tackling real-world issues

In previous generations, students were taught outdated information and currently, many young adults are saddled with student loan debt. Students will learn how to tackle real-world issues in modern classrooms. Rote learning is important, but students must learn how to solve complex problems. Currently, many high schools have entrepreneurship programs which has been a huge help in this area. Most schools are incorporating real-world skills into the curriculum and teachers are using social learning tools. Social media tools can encourage students to work together. Teachers are asking their students for their perspective on global issues as well.

Giving Students Options

Students have options and across the globe, students are learning more on their own and taking initiative. Teachers are letting students choose everything from their interactive programs to their lunches. Students want to eat healthy foods, and want to know the nutritional information. Some have taken pictures of their lunches, and are requesting healthier menu options from their schools and districts. Teachers want students to be independent thinkers inside and outside of the classroom and technology can help get them there.

Hiring knowledgeable teachers

Schools are hiring technically savvy teachers as part of changing classrooms. Teachers are using more technology in their classrooms, and need to be well-versed in the latest. In rural areas, students depend heavily on their teachers for help in navigating a globally connected world since many students only use technology in their classroom. In remote areas of China and Mongolia, many students do not have a computer in their home and expect their teachers to have a vast understanding of technology. Instead of reading about plants in books, search engines are giving students information about plants and medical breakthroughs. In Ras al-Khaimah, the government understands that education should always be one of the country’s highest priorities. With things like the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al Qasimi reading initiative program, the government and schools look to nurture and cultivate the country’s local talent. Local officials know that the schools need knowledgeable teachers and are working with them to update their education and schools from elementary on up.

Closing the skills gap

As the world’s population becomes more condensed, teachers are focusing on respectability. Before the digital age, children in places like the Amazon and the Congo were marginalized but technology is closing the skills gap, and many students are demanding respect. Students are learning about government policies and want to make sure that the governmental changes benefit their generation. Students want to excel in math and science and get into careers that will make a difference and technology can help show them the best way to make a difference. In the past, education was a luxury for the rich. More than 750 million adults cannot read at a basic level, but the number of illiterate adults is shrinking. In the near future, more than 75% of the world’s population will be literate. Today, most countries believe that all children have a fundamental right to an education.

How SEO Reseller program helps your business?

How SEO Reseller program helps your business?
As the Internet grows in size and sheer usage, so does competitiveness. Year by year, business owners are tasked with doing increasingly more to keep their businesses afloat and on top of their game – particularly in the world of SEO. Year by year, business owners are tasked with doing increasingly more to keep their businesses afloat and on top of their game – particularly in the world of SEO. That has not changed one bit this year. SEO continues to be important, as Google rolls out update after update making it harder for previous SEO techniques to be applied for better traffic, forcing businesses to rely more and more on organic SEO, or else suffer the consequences. As per Forbes, businesses have been aggressively expanding their digital marketing needs. SEO, as per Search Engine Land, is now a $65 billion industry. But, to businesses in the market of selling these techniques, it can also become increasingly difficult to earnestly offer them to companies who, while needing SEO, also need their SEO to continue to be mostly affordable. Alternatively, some businesses are looking to step up their SEO game, asking you to go beyond your capacity to fulfil a certain monthly quota on sales or traffic. There comes a time when the natural step might be to expand or get to hiring an expert. Instead of increasing your in-house costs and infrastructure, another much smarter and financially-viable option is implementing the services of an SEO reseller.

What is SEO Reselling?

SEO reseller services, or white label SEO services, are basically programs offered by SEO specialists to businesses looking to utilise these services as an extension of their own offerings, utilising their own logo and under their company’s name. To an SEO reseller program’s client’s clients, the original creator and implementer of any proposed SEO plans are never specifically seen or mentioned – the service is paid to be outsourced without giving a company credit.

The benefits of utilising SEO reselling

A reputable SEO reseller program from a firm like TechMagnate can help you deal with your workload in myriad ways: ●      It lets you offer an extended list of services. Right off the bat, employing an SEO reseller means you can offer a long list of SEO services that a single dedicated SEO hire can’t fulfil. This is invaluable, as it makes your business far more attractive to potential clients. ●      It costs less upfront. Instead of building your own SEO department or getting a few SEO consultants on your payroll, SEO reseller packages basically allow you to get more for less, to a certain degree. ●      It allows you to aggressively expand your client base. It takes a while to build an SEO offering. With a white-label service, however, you’ve instantly got one going. As per Moz, white-label also means getting access to the extended link building possibilities of your white-label partner. There are downsides, of course, for doing it all wrong. Specifically, employing cheap or low-quality SEO reseller services will only serve to your detriment, lower your reputation, and drive away clients. To avoid such embarrassments, you’ll have to thoroughly vet and closely work with your potential SEO partners. Because of the way it seamlessly integrates into any digital marketing offering, SEO reseller packages are extremely useful – and extremely popular.   Author: Daina Martin

3 Reasons why you should keep investing in your education

3 Reasons Why You Should Keep Investing in Your Education
3 Reasons Why You Should Keep Investing in Your Education     We often believe that once we finish high school and college, there will never be a need to sit down and learn again. Still, as the business world is growing at a rapid pace, there are always ways in which you can improve. And if you want to keep up with the newest trends in business, you should always keep investing in your education. We have come up with 3 reasons why continuous education is important and which might just get you motivated to sign up for a new course.

You will be happier

We all know that learning can be daunting and take up a lot of your time. But every new thing you learn is always guaranteed to make you feel happier. Even if it is something small like a new card game, learning a new skill. But learning something that your business career can benefit from is a completely different experience. Not only will you know something new but you will also be able to employ it in your office and do better at work. Also, when you learn something new it shows you that you can improve even more and that any obstacles you believed you were there are non-existent. Not to mention that with every course you take, your employers are going to think more of you until you eventually become a person they can trust everything with.

Your value will constantly grow

Becoming an irreplaceable employee is quite difficult. But, if you keep investing in your education you value will constantly grow and you will become a better employee. For example, if you can just sell products you are valued as a regular employee. If you can sell, as well as design and promote products you are guaranteed to be valued as one of the most important employees in the company. Of course, not only that but continuous education will help you grow as a person. The more you know the more other will be able to rely on you and think of you more. So, if you want your value to keep growing, you shouldn’t miss out on any opportunity to learn new skills. Leadership and communication courses are just some of the things you should think about investing in. Also, no matter what niche you are working in, business writing courses are something you can always benefit from.

You will be more humble

Another thing continuous education helps you with is staying humble. And there are many ways you can benefit from this. Being humble will allow you to keep an open mind and become interested in the things you have never heard about. On the other hand, believing that you know absolutely everything will make you arrogant, which is never a good thing in the business world. There is something new around every corner and being ready to learn and accept new things can do wonders for your life. It will help you grow both as a person and as an employee. Also, everyone else will know that you always ready to push the envelope, which means they will constantly approach you with new ideas and opportunities. In addition, you will always appear more charming and easy to work with. Continuous education is something you should always be ready to invest in. Every new skill and lesson you learn will help you grow and move up in the business world. Having all of this in mind, you should always keep searching for some new courses you can take.

Understanding Extended Oracle RAC across sites with VMware NSX

Understanding Extended Oracle RAC across sites with VMware NSX       If you’re relatively new to network virtualization and the initialization of utilising software-defined data centres for businesses, then the idea of training for Oracle database function across an NSX-based network will require some thinking. NSX’s manufacturers, the Dell subsidiary VMware, recently announced on their very own blog that they’ve begun showcasing the ability to stretch an Oracle RAC between multi-datacenter networks, through NSX, for layer 2 adjacency. This is exciting news for networks that utilise the Oracle 9i database product’s real application cluster function to allow a database to be installed across multiple servers. Companies do this for scalability, lower costs as several low-end servers can do what high-end server can do at a higher price, and greater safety as a single server failing won’t mean the end of the database. But, before we can discuss why RAC certification through a reputed company like Koenig Solutions is important for businesses with large customer databases and a general wealth of data, you need to understand the importance of network virtualization, software-defined data centres and NSX especially.

What is NSX?

NSX is VMware’s software solution for companies looking to implement a quality network virtualization software into their networking. Just like server virtualization before it, network virtualization allows companies to expand the capabilities and capacity of their network without increasing their cost by driving cost down through the use of several data centres and the cloud to manage the operation of a network rather than on-site infrastructure. NSX also allows companies to execute micro-segmentation in their networks, which means they can continue operating on a network seamlessly while actually segmenting their network onto several different virtual machines in a data centre to allow for better security measures. Security is paramount in building and managing a network – due to the sheer amount of shared data present on a network, any intrusion can compromise the rest of the network unless proper measures are in place to stop such security infringements. There is a lot of interest in pushing for network virtualization among bigger companies and IT specialising smaller companies alike. The ability to host complex network functions without the need for a lot of hardware makes network virtualization that much more of a potential solution for smaller businesses that can’t afford the infrastructure required for typical in-house networking.

What is an RAC?

Another important concept when understanding the importance of integration between the Oracle database and VMware’s NSX software, is the utilisation of Oracle 9i’s RAC and extended Oracle RAC functionality. RAC stands for Real Application Cluster as per TechTarget, specifically allowing every server access to the entire database rather than the usual approach of database clustering, which involves segmenting a database across multiple servers. The benefits here are a lack of loss in data when one server goes down, also known as failover capacity as per the TT website. With these tools, a business can propel itself to new levels of network efficiency, especially among businesses with a multinational clientele – and that’s where training helps tremendously in helping such companies achieve their goals.

Understanding accreditation and its role in today’s online education

Understanding accreditation and its role in today’s online education
Understanding accreditation and its role in today’s online education   Accreditation is an entire process through which government regulatory authorities access, analyze, scrutinize and approve educational institutions in many terms. From appropriate educational quality standards up to ensuring these institutes’ ethical and lawful recognition, these accreditation authorities play an essential role in the overall management of today’s educational trends. We will critically explore accreditation and its complexities in the following research once we are done with the concept of online education and how it is intercepted. Now, let us concisely enlighten the role of modern day technology on businesses and industries. Global industries that widely vary from mass manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods up to the services sector industry more specifically the field of education, all have come across significant changes in terms of how they have coped up with the modern day technology where no one could ever deny the invincible power of the internet and here comes online education. Similarly, global businesses and their corporate culture also adapted to the new dynamics of technology where transforming into a fully paperless environment is something that clearly signifies the role of Information technology and modern day computing. Let us now get to know and develop an understanding of what is online education and how it actually intercepted. Online education is one of the biggest examples that show how dramatically mankind have adapted technology and invented ways of using it in order to bring as much convenience as possible. Following today’s global population one can possibly understand the various consequences and complexity that people face in their educational path. From time constraints up to prioritizing work above all matters, people have indefinite reasons to claim specialized, technology oriented and well-structured educational platforms that are capable of setting them apart from these sort of real-time constraints and here the platform of online universities, institutions, online certifications and accreditation bodies and the entire industry dealt within. Online Universities and institutions offering higher academic qualifications, diplomas and specialized certifications intercepted and act just like the traditionally accepted brick and mortar educational institutes for higher education. It is just that these institutes mostly exist only on the global internet though their intelligent websites. These universities have brought dramatic change and revolutionized the entire perception of the different ways of learning and education on a global scale. By offering a complete digital environment where students can access their teachers, class notes and even exams as per their convenience and are interactively able to access and manage all of their study material though the provided best in class digital portal. Now, let us come back to the concept and role of accreditation in online education. It is indeed obvious that if we have several pros then on the other hand, we do have some cons as well. We all are also aware of professional diploma mills, that not just exists on the internet but also, working professionally and in a well-managed way, but all that you got from them merely counts in your overall career path as a fruitful product just because they do not comply and present valid accreditation by a well-recognized accreditation body that is responsible to scrutinize these institutes quality standards and legal compliance. This is exactly where the role of accreditation bodies becomes more essential as it is a big slum. If we specifically talk about the United States, there are six regional accreditation regulatory authorities for colleges and universities as follows;
  • Northwest Commission of Schools and Colleges
  • Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
  • Western Association of Schools and Colleges
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
  • New England Association of Schools and Colleges
  • North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
Moreover, there are certain third party accreditation organizations as shown in the list below that also provides accreditation to several colleges and universities but, these third party accreditation organizations are also critically accredited by the governmental accreditation regulatory authorities. Famous Third Party Accreditation Organizations;
  • AADP – American Association of Drug less Practitioners
  • AAHEA – American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation
  • AAMA – American Alternative Medical Association
  • International Accreditation Organization
  • AHP – Association for Humanistic Psychology
The list might go on based on both types of these third party organizations in terms of being valid and forged, but all you need to do before enrolling yourself with any online college or university is to refer to the above listed official accreditation bodies and get an insight from their about where would you head upon with the online institute in your case and how much credible it is. We can expand our area of interest and we can easily dig deeper into the debate but, considering yourself as the primary prospect of the chosen online institute, you must do a thorough online research, try accessing as many websites as you can, reach out to the accreditation experts and I’m sure you will definitely get at least a brief idea of where you are about to step in and would be really fruitful for you or not. Followed by indefinite issues in the field of education, I will keep leading my initiative of educating people and developing their knowledge about the latest trends and issues in modern day education. I think I have provided a basic and concise insight upon the understanding accreditation and its vital role in today’s online education but I hope that I will keep myself connected with the community in terms of accreditation with greater and in-depth insights.

Teaching strategies for modern classrooms

Teaching strategies for modern classrooms

Teaching strategies for modern classrooms

As the world evolves, the need of new teaching methods is becoming more and more inevitable. Clearly, today’s students are no longer the same audience, as that of the traditional system of education. The current student generation is working on a different level, with different pace and completely altered approaches. Education as we know is no longer existent. The gap between modern students and teachers is not shrinking, but growing almost daily. Why? Because schools still base their teaching on outdated strategies. The social media and technology are developing and spreading quite fast and in result, the less focused students become on their education. It was only twenty years ago that tablets, laptops and iPhones did not even exist. Right now, students are disturbed by these devices almost all the time. This is why educators must try to understand how to best meet the needs of modern students and do that while taking their attention away from video games and social media. Change is now inevitable, especially since something as important as education of future leaders depends on it. This is why we have uncovered the most important teaching strategies that educators need to apply in their modern classrooms.

Modern classroom and outdated strategies

If you wish to teach a student something in today’s world, you have to be a modern teacher. Working with outdated strategies and principles on modern students is a failure to start with. As the world moves, so must the education. The main task of a teacher is to understand how their students think. Understanding the modern values and seeing what needs to be done in order to share some knowledge is the first and most important step in creating a good learning environment. Every teacher has been taught history of educating, most common teaching techniques and most successful strategies. However, as the world moves, so should we.

Modern students and ignorant educators

Being aware of the incompatibilities between the past educational systems and the ‘digital era’ of today, is highly important, but this means nothing if the teachers are ignorant towards changing. The main reason why teaching strategies have not adapted to the modern students yet is because the majority of educators simply remain ignorant of their environment. Of course, every teacher has gone through extensive education in order to best implement methods of teaching, but should they rely solely on the traditional strategies? The majority of educators have received their professional education and training years before the technology was so widespread, so it is clear that their profession is still in need of developing. After all, the main purpose of the educational system is to make students learn and this cannot be effectively accomplished if educators reject adaptation. Students did not have the recourses and access to information before like they do now and almost everything they learned came from their teachers. Right now, teachers also need to learn from their students. Why? Because as the world moves and education remains intact, students start seeing education as something they need to pass, not to learn. The amount of information is now so accessible to them, that they no longer see traditional learning teachers as their role-models.

The mindset of a modern teacher

Being a teacher in nowadays world is a difficult task, mostly because of the loss of the old techniques educators are so used to. As the mindset of students changes, so must that of educators. And not only that this does not sound easy, but it really is not. Changing the mindset to one of a modern teacher is a challenging job, but an extremely important one. The internet is all modern students can think about when it comes to information, so you cannot keep adapting your ‘defensive mode’ every time a student brings up different ideas from those of traditional learning. The internet is not going away. On the opposite, it will keep changing and developing faster and faster every day. This is why teachers need to adopt and learn accordingly. After all, there is no such profession whose learning ends with getting a degree.

3 tips for dealing with modern students

If you want to change your mindset to one of a modern teacher, you have to be more open minded. Being ready to adopt is the only way that you will fit in today’s educational system and make your students respect you.
  • Stop Focusing on Control
In the traditional learning setting, teachers were focusing on control. This is how they maintained their position of most intelligent in the classroom and a role-model for the students. Now students are different. Controlling them is no longer an option and if you want to make them listen and learn, you must try to influence them instead. Students need to feel good in the classroom. Having a modern teacher that promotes advanced, modern strategies is the only way to achieve this. If you manage to do that, you will have the influence you so need.
  • Grasp the Technology
Technology is something you should include in your classes. Instead of using solely books and other traditional methods, opt for some interesting video, an online presentation or other modern learning techniques. In this way, you will not only make learning easier for your students, but will include something they find very dear to their everyday learning. And we all know how important students’ interest is when it comes to successful teaching.
  • Guide Students to Important Content
Right now students have excessive access to information, but not all of it is true or relevant. Letting them know that the material you provide them with is filtered and relevant is highly important. Your main role in terms of technology is not to let students be misguided by it.

Conclusion

Learning to adopt and implement modern strategies in today’s education is not something that will come easily. Traditional teaching is so long gone, that teachers already struggle with finding the right way to reach their students. If you wish to do so, you must change in order to preserve the classroom’s functionality. The job of every teacher is not only to teach, but to learn too. Adapting to the new environment is the only way to preserve the teacher-student relationship. At the end, if that is gone because teachers refuse to adapt, how will the teachers to their main job – teach?   About the Author:

4 Reasons why your employee training is not getting you results… and what to do about it

4 Reasons why your employee training is not getting you results… and what to do about it
4 Reasons why your employee training is not getting you results… and what to do about it   Training your employees isn’t cheap. Some training providers I know can make hundreds, or even thousands, from an afternoon’s work. No wonder most organisations’ training budgets creep up each year, not down. Not to mention that training also takes your employees away from their duties for hours, or even longer, which means the most immediate effect of training is a loss of productivity! With this in mind, employee training had better deliver some seriously useful results. But, does it? Unfortunately, in all too many cases, employee training just doesn’t work. So, if yours is not doing the job, you aren’t alone. But when you know the most common reasons why employee training flops, you can put things right and start getting the value your business needs. Here are some of the most frequent issues:

1. There’s no training strategy

Do you organise your training ad-hoc, to deal with skills gaps as you spot them? Do you base your plans on training provider scare stories, like “Your company is at risk without this course”? Or simply follow the latest trends, like e-learning, because they sound like a nice idea at the time? If so, then it’s difficult to know if your training is working or not – because no goal has been set for the training to achieve. Many companies commit themselves to long-term staff training – even to becoming a ‘learning organisation’ – because they believe (rightly) that it can improve performance. But, you need to have the right learning. And you can only choose the right learning if you have a plan in place. Otherwise, you are simply training for the sake of it. The outcomes might be of no use to your business whatsoever!

Start planning for success

It’s less daunting than you think to create a staff training plan. Simply:
  1. Write down your company’s 3 most important goals. One example could be to increase your sales by 50%.
  2. Identify the skills your staff needs to achieve each goal. For the example above, these could be learning new sales skills, or increasing product knowledge.
  3. Plan a training schedule for the coming year that develops the skills your employees need.
Pretty simple, right? Best of all, you will know if your training is working – because you’ll be closer to your company goals.

2. You’re using the wrong trainers

There are many highly professional trainers around who just aren’t capable of teaching your staff the right skills. They know how to tick all the right boxes to get fancy certificates for your delegates, and they might even be entertaining speakers. The problem is, they don’t have any hands-on experience. They’ve never succeeded in the field you are trying to succeed in, so they don’t possess the skills they’re trying to teach. They can’t inspire your people. All they can really do is sell you a pile of diplomas.

Try new trainers and methods

It doesn’t have to be that way. Make some calls. Talk to as many trainers as possible about their real-world experience and methods, and see who has the most to offer. When arranging your training, make sure to always opt for quality by choosing a training provider that is well established, quality assured, and flexible. It’s also a good idea to choose the best trainer for each session, rather than being locked into one provider. This gives your programme a wider variety of methods and trainers, catering for more of your employees’ individual learning styles.

3. Your training sessions are too long

Have you ever been on a day-long training course that almost sent you to sleep? Chances are, there’s been more than one. The problems with long training sessions are numerous. They tend to involve a lot of listening or reading for your staff, which becomes boring after a while. There’s also usually a big lunch, which can make delegates tired in the afternoon. The biggest issue, though, is that it’s difficult to retain so much learning in a single session. So, your employees might only remember a few nuggets from their expensive day’s training.

Train in short bursts

Of course, we all know why the full-day training session is so common. It’s just more convenient for you and the trainer. You can break training up into smaller, more memorable chunks. But then, things get more difficult to organise. The best answer is to plan training days made up of short sessions, each of which involves a different learning style – such as group work, hands-on training, or e-learning. This can help your employees stay fresh and focused throughout the day.

4. Training isn’t being followed up

If you’ve ever learned a few Italian, French or Spanish phrases while on holiday, you’ll know that knowledge rarely sticks after you’ve stopped using it. The same goes for training. Even if you have a great training strategy in place, and the skills your employees train in are actually useful, they won’t necessarily use them once back at the workplace. A good example is IT training. In modern computing, there are quicker ways to do most things – and training your staff how to speed up their spread sheets (for example) is a brilliant way to increase productivity. But, employees are often stuck in their ways – or they may simply forget what they learn in training, before they have a chance to use it. That’s why follow-up exercises are vital for reinforcing important skills training. It’s also a great way to measure success. If your staff don’t retain knowledge after training, it might be time to try new methods.

Reinforce and evaluate staff training

A great follow-up exercise is to have your delegates come together at work, after training, and practice what they’ve learned together. They can remind each other about things they’ve forgotten and reinforce their new skills. Meanwhile, you or a line manager can evaluate the effectiveness of the training itself and encourage staff to keep using it. As I said earlier, employee training isn’t cheap. But, when you stop making mistakes, training can add huge value to your business. What do all of our reasons for training failure have in common? They prove you can’t trust your success to external (or even internal) trainers. It’s up to you to make sure your training is right for your company’s goals, delivered will, and put to good use by your employees. Author: Sam Carr, Activia.co.uk

Quick guide or fresher’s to crack their first interview

Quick guide or fresher's to crack their first interview Fresher, an informal term for a freshman, is a beginner who has very less or no experience of the domain he is about to step into. As in school and college a teacher and a professor respectively guides a fresher’s path, likewise on being graduated, an interview coach prepares him well for the professional world. Effective job interview training encourages a fresher to know the insights of a professional meeting and helps him identify the difference between the dos and don’ts of an interview. We shall now discuss herein a few interview tips for a confirmed positive outcome. Following is a list of behavioral rules and interview ethics one must always be aware of.
  1. Smile and appear confident: Always greet the interviewer with a smile and in case of a panel interviewing you, quickly roll your vision through the panellists with a smile on your face. We almost forget to greet our interviewer because of tension and stress and a straight face might reveal this to the employer directly thus, deteriorating your chance of selection in the very beginning. A candidate, who adorns a smile is believed to have a better composure and confident personality.
  2. Body language: an inappropriate body language may explicitly divulge an overstressed state of mind therefore it must be carefully handled. Avoid leaning on the chair while sitting, folding arms or playing with your ring. Adopt a sensible posture such as sitting upright, no cross legs and hands folded. You may use your hands once in a while to explain a particular point you stated.
  3. Appearance: you should be suitably dressed, following a formal code. Your hair should be neatly done. If you are a female candidate, avoid applying bright and catchy nail enamels, make use of nude shades instead, to give it a professional look altogether.
  4. Punctuality: being well in time for your interview depicts your responsible and accountable attitude. At the same time, reach the venue just 15 minutes before the interview is expected to begin in order to relax.
  5. Prepare well: Plan and rehearse you resume and prepare for the most common questions.

  • Tell me about yourself? When this question is put forward, the important things that you should mention are your educational background, your family background, without getting into much detail. Talking about your personality traits here and also about things you like to do in your free time, constitute the best answer.

  • Why should we hire you? The interviewer asks this question to know the extent of your sincerity towards the role you are being interviewed for. The appropriate answers to this question would include your skills and abilities. You need to sell yourself in the answer, highlighting your attributes. This question is an opportunity to tell the employers that you are suitable for the job. A company looks for candidates that add value to their organization. Skills related to this kind of a job would be perfect to mention here.

  • What are your strengths? Your reply here should list your strengths and you can back them with examples. For instance, you can say, ‘I was leading a presentation in college which went really well and I received a lot of appreciation too.’ Quoting this example would talk about your leadership qualities. Likewise mentioning that you submitted all your projects and assignments way before the deadline would speak for your punctuality.

  • Are you planning for your future studies? If you actually are planning, then it is important to mention, supported by a reason. With this question the interviewer wants to know if you are looking for a long term association with the company or just wanting to use their training resources and leave.

  • What do you know about our company? Do not just wake up in the morning, dress up and go for the interview. It is important to know the company details in and out, so study their website thoroughly and research well about the organisation. Understanding the company’s vision behind its products and services is really important. This shows your interest to join the organization which further enables the employer to invest his faith in you while evaluating your candidature.
The answers to the aforesaid questions can only be understood and rehearsed through an effective interview coaching. Good Communication skills: the motive of job interview training is not limited to knowledge building. It also helps the candidates to convey that knowledge through proper channels. Effective listening and talking precise is a major key to crack any interview. Not knowing answers to all the questions put forward by an interviewer is completely acceptable, the major trick however lies in the way you communicate the same. Your course in college will prepare you technically, but it is only an interview coaching that does the ultimate overall grooming. So, if you are straight out of college, looking for a job and you have an interview lined up, than this quick read can assist you in your job interview preparation and subsequently help you crack your first interview. How to engage modern learners in e-learning?

How to engage modern learners in e-learning?
How to engage modern learners in e-learning? When it comes to modern learners, time is of the essence. In a fast-paced world, they are seeking information available at the drop of a hat and they really know their way around the web to easily find what they want to know. So when you’re faced with an audience of users with shortened attention spans and/or less time available to get necessary information, how do you keep them engaged?

 Fit everyone’s schedule

If you want to make your program more accessible to anyone at any time of day, you will need to take the on-demand route (not unlike mega-successful Netflix). Your modern e-learners are seeking platforms where they can learn what they want to learn at their every whim. Waiting for time slots doesn’t appeal to this audience, as it may clash with their schedules or they may simply lose interest altogether. Pre-recorded and on-demand education works in your favour, too. You’ll be able to re-use materials across years, rather than bringing in new instructors each time to conduct new lectures.

 Welcome users back

Allowing your users to work at their own pace and on their own schedules may mean some erratic metrics when it comes to your average daily users. You may find that some users are very active for a few weeks, followed by an idle period for a few weeks, and so on and on. But chances are, your users will come back after these bouts of absence, and when they do, be ready. Make it easy for your e-learners to pick up where they left off, without penalty. Recommend some refresher exercises, but don’t send them backwards.

Keep it short and sweet

Structure your course content in a way that is easily digestible. Full-length videos and lectures have no place in the modern e-learners’ schedules, so break it down into components no more than a few minutes each. And when creating your content, just delve right into the need-to-know information and avoid the fluffy introductions.

Make it interactive

Develop some e-learning components that require participation from your audience. This can take the form of quizzes, practice exercises, or a rewards program that they can share on social media as they progress. Interactivity will also help with content retention, so users will be able to make the most out of their learning experience.

 Add some fun

One of the best ways to keep any audience engaged is to make the material fun. Often, this can take the form of educational games. A trivia-style component, complete with timers, hints, and rewards can keep users engaged at length. Content aside, the game modules alone might just be enough to keep your users eager to continue.

 Integrate social media

Adding a social outlet to your course is a fantastic way to make your users feel less isolated with their learning experience. Linking the program to social media allows them to interact with other learners while holding each other accountable for regular progress. It’s also a way for users to show off their progress to their circles (which is great marketing for you, by the way!). When you design your e-learning curriculum (and e-learning platform design), try to put yourself in the shoes of someone who is tech savvy, working from multiple devices, and strapped for time. Doing so, will guide you to a strategy that will help you yield more user engagement. And once you have a strategy in place, be sure to collect user feedback along the way. Hint: you’ll want to make the feedback system brief and seamless as well, because remember—it’s all about time!   Emily Burgess is part of the team behind Course Guru, an Australian business specializing in online training and education. Resolving stereotypes regarding online education

Resolving Stereotypes Regarding Online Education Acceptance of online education and degree for a common man is still like a question mark. Many people believe that those who are not eligible for admission in any good traditional university or college usually go for online education but it’s not right at all because performance graph of online degree holders shows that they are equally good as a normal student. There are a lot of myths or rumors regarding online degree system and students. Before claiming anything people should look at the dropout rates of students at colleges around the world and the reasons. For so many such students online education is a good option as they can manage their studies along with their life activities. Here are some facts to dissolve the stereotypes regarding online education so that students can feel comfortable while considering online degree option. Online Education is Easier than Regular College Classes The course structure of online degrees is designed under supervisions of highly educated and experienced personals who experience regular college as well. The course plans are arranged to fulfill the international standards of any specific degree. To get an online degree it is mandatory to finish your homework and the assignments in a mentioned time to get scored on them. The criteria of markings are not lenient at all. In fact, the criteria of markings followed by most of the online degree programs are similar to those followed by regular colleges. Many of the online degree holders, when attempting any test for regular institutes or for any job actually perform very well. The ratio of qualifying and passing any job or test among online and regular degree holders is basically the same. So it’s totally a myth that it’s easier in any of the ways. The only advantage which can be considered is that you have the freedom to choose the timings for your classes. Online Education is Antisocial Most of the people who are unaware of the realities of an online educational system and believe that it is for shy or disruptive people. Most people argue with online students that such courses promote an antisocial and home confining lifestyle. Some also say that online students are shy of life outside the comforts of their homes and maybe that’s why they select such an educational system. But what I want to ask is, how come an online world be called antisocial? There is one on one communication going on between teacher and students. Also, groups of students are linked together through discussion and debate forums. The communication circle of online students involves students not only from their country or city but from multiple countries and cities. Such experiences can teach students social and racial acceptance even more than a regular class. There are also some homework and assignments that involve market surveys, sometimes photography or interviews. Online learners are found more interactive because they are holding an experience of online conferencing. There are a number of websites that allow online students to communicate and share their learning with others. You can also participate in competitions offered online. So the idea that online education system is antisocial is not true at all. Less Considered by Recruiters Hiring panels are more interested in an individual`s skills rather than the type or source of applicant's degree. But the fact is that 87% of hiring panels believe that online degrees have equal respect as traditional degrees. 60% disagree that they mark any differential division between online or traditional degree statuses. Whereas 82% of recruiters believe that online education is not easy at all. For jobs that involve online communication and conferencing usually done online, degree holders perform better. Also, online job interviews and Skype meetings are on fingertips of online students. Poor Time Management Skills Due to no fixed timing of classes and facility to alter the timings of lectures people think that online learners cannot manage time as they are too lazy to go and attend classes at any fixed time. Actually, people need to look at the usual routines of traditional college students. Most of the students are lazy to get up from bed for their classes, and a great number of students bunk classes because they feel sleepy or bored during any particular subject or class. Annually at colleges, a number of students are not allowed to sit for exams due to short attendance, some students face penalties or fines due to the habit of coming late to class. In fact, some students even arrive at an examination hall 15 to 20 minutes late. Now take a look at the statistics to resolve the myth, which says that 55% of traditional college students are found to be just lazy as they skip classes because they could not get out of bed. Basically, it’s not a claim to say that traditional degree students are lazy, it’s a fact that usually the lifestyle of all youngsters have a mess like this and it’s not a big issue. You cannot claim that they have poor time management skills or it's just a habit for a limited time or age. Actually, 70% of human resources authorities disagree with the idea that traditional degree holders have better time management skills. Online degree holders possess an average 74% of management skills. Online students are also reliable freelancers as they understand the value of commitments even when the client cannot make a claim. The course structure of online degrees is designed under supervisions of highly educated and experienced personals who experience regular college as well. How to get your bachelor’s degree faster?

How to get your bachelor's degree faster?   After graduating from high school, most tend to enter the workforce immediately or make their way to a two or four-year college to receive their Bachelor’s degree. Some end up going to college for even longer to receive their Master’s or PhD. It really depends on the person in question and their preferences and goals. Most people are happy to receive a Bachelor’s in their preferred topic and industry, but even a Bachelor’s degree can be costly and take a lot of time to acquire. If you find yourself losing motivation to complete school, use some of these tips to make the time in school go faster. Plan your work Most students entering college take at least one class they do not require in order to graduate. Taking classes that are completely unrelated to your major can be a wonderful way to break up the monotony in your learning and expand your horizons. However, those looking to acquire their degree, as fast as possible should solely focus on classes required to receive a degree. Avoid any unrelated classes, as they will only bog down your time. Many students will write out an action plan or study plan to keep track of their target goals. Remain in contact with your academic advisor, as often as possible, to keep on track to graduation. Transfer credits If you have previously attended another college, do not let those transfer credits go unused. Many schools will accept your transfer equivalencies where applicable which can significantly reduce the cost of your degree and how long it takes to acquire it. Each school generally has an office or administration dedicated to handling transfer credits and requests. Utilize this service to see how much you can save when attending a new school. Some institutions like Chatfield College even offer a third-year option, where students who already have an associates, can transition to a bachelors program. Skip a minor Many students opt to acquire a minor along with their major. This can be useful in some cases, but most would advise you to skip the minor entirely to acquire your degree in the fastest way possible. Most people will not use their minor once they graduate, it just looks good at the time. Dropping your minor classes could save an entire semester of work. Unless your minor is critical to your field or would bring obvious benefits, avoid it. There are ways to increase the speed at which you acquire a degree. Some students do not pay attention to their options, or do not speak with their academic advisor nearly enough. Let them know your intentions beforehand and see places where you can save extra time and money.   Author: Brooke Chaplan
