Why would elderly want to study?

  • It is interesting and it is keeping their “brain working more actively”. No matter whether it is a simple new skill gaining or obtaining a degree at the universities for elderly, the benefits are the same – knowledge expands the horizons, it keeps you active and makes you feel more fulfilled.
  • You make new friends online and you can tell your old friends about them. Once that you do not have to go to work, it will make your free time better filled in, with something worth gaining. The every day routine of retired people can be boring. The distance learning makes it more interesting and challenging.
  • It is not TV that makes your daily schedule of your fav-show, but you decide which course or class to take and when. There will be no more unheard replicas, unread subtitles, nor missed programs on the favorite channel. With distance learning, you decide on how loud you will hear the online program, how many time you would like to have it repeated, and when you want to hear it and learn it.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.

Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
