Start early!
When you’ve been given a deadline which seems really far away, it’s easy to see it as an opportunity to kick back and relax until the week before it’s due. Don’t do this! An essay written in a pre-deadline panic will never reflect your true abilities. Break it up, do it bit by bit and take the time to write it, read it and edit it as many times as you please. You’ll have a better essay and feel relaxed and confident when you hand it in.

As recently as a few years ago the idea of someone getting an online degree was considered laughable. Only scams ran their classes over the Internet, the common wisdom said. Real colleges required students to show up in a physical classroom with actual books, and hand their work over to the teacher. That view is changing though, and changing quite rapidly.

The process of choosing the right college is a stressful one. After all, the choices that you make now will affect the rest of your life. Your parents, teachers, guidance counsellors and friends will all try to give you advice and support, however, the final decision is always yours.
