AI Detection tools

What AI detection tools get wrong, and why it matters for online learners?

AI detection is a probability estimate, not a fact-finder. Treating it as the latter is where most of the harm happens, and that harm lands hardest on students who are already writing in a second language or studying without the in-person context that used to catch these situations before they escalated. As detection tools keep evolving, the more useful conversation is not whether a score is high or low, but what a program does with that score once it appears.
