The Economist magazine has conveyed a survey supported by Google for Education about Fostering exploration and excellence in 21st-century schools
As we are aware that schools have a critical role in equipping students for the 21st-century workplace, we all need to know how to explore the mix of soft and hard skills to succeed. In this survey, you can read about the strategies and techniques that educators implement in the classroom to support the development of the future students’ skills. The education systems evolve along with the demands of the global economy, and the question of how to implement the change at the classroom level needs to be explored. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) points out the strategies that are most effective for developing the 21st-century skills, by searching for answers how technology can support such efforts and which are the best ways to implement them.
The survey report findings are reflecting the global survey opinions of 1,200 teachers and administrators from 16 countries around the world. The research programme builds upon the EIU’s 2015 study, Driving the skills agenda: Preparing students for the future, which assessed shifts in skills needs.
