To do this, you may need to obtain certain types of licensure. By knowing what is required of you, you will be well on your way to getting a job while in college.

2. Use your network
Chances are, whilst in college you have created a network among other students as well as with professors. You need to activate this network to help you find a job. If you are looking for a job in the nursing industry, ask nursing students for any job openings that they are aware of. Also, remember to tap into your network of people who you don’t go to college with, including your hair stylist, mum and dad and your dog walker. After talking to all of these people, you will probably come across a position that you will be satisfied with.

3. Take the interview seriously
Once you land an interview, you have to take it seriously. Even if you don’t land the job, you can still use the interview process as a valuable learning experience. Remember to engage with the interviewer at all times. Never be shy with the person giving the interview that you are in great need of a job and that you are the perfect person for the position.

4. Look for jobs at school
Obtaining a job at the college you are attending is a great way to get a job whilst studying. In fact, your college probably has lots of open positions that need to be filled. Securing a job at your college will allow you to obtain a job that fully understands your studies are more important than your job.
